shadow4629 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 I'm so tired of trying to figure out what i'm doing I've been at it for like a year and a half and I'm going in circles, I see people playing fully kitted DD skyrim and that jazz and I get the drive to try again then fizzle out, can someone please help me. I'll give my discord details and stuff and would very much appreciate the help!
Gukahn Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Yeah 20 bucks for over 40 hours of work ? Â How about another idea. Read one of the guides we have around here and if you find something you don't understand, ask about it. Take a big step back and think slowly while you working on your modlist, step by step. Work on your game without sexlab mods involved until you are happy with the result (let's call it the groundwork.) Install FNIS or Nemesis while you do it, Skeleton mod too and when everything seem to work afterwards, then start with LL mods. Sexlab it's requierments, Slal and one animation pack, test this. Does it work? Probably because we talking about the basics of the basics and it's just point and click. Then install the rest. Stop every few mods and test if your game seem to work: Does it launch? Great Can you walk around? Can you talk to npcs? Does bad Things still hit you (sounds weird but sometimes they stop doing this.) And so on. Â This way troubleshooting will be easier and you won't post "I can't figure out what happened after I installed 100+ mods. Somebody help!" Because you won't get help by then but you will if you can say the last 3 or 5 mods you installed after the latest test. Â You're working for over a year to get this game start, why do you think anybody would do it for you for 20 bucks? Â This isn't even my hourly wage. I wouldn't wake up in the morning for that amount and we talking about many hours of work. Â

shadow4629 Posted August 5, 2023 Author Posted August 5, 2023 Yeah that's fair, my fault for small price (just started working again lmao) Ill probably try starting again step by step, just ran into a lot of problems but I didn't realize how difficult it could be.
traison Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 If you know how to use your mod manager to deal with file conflicts, and xEdit to deal with plugin record conflicts you're already half way there. The rest is applying that skill to build your setup. A skill many people seem to lack is being able to answer this question: "Find the mod that provides file X."; or better yet "Find all mods that provide file X, and which of them is currently winning the conflict." Same questions apply to plugin records: "Find the mod that altered formid Y."
