I played baldurs gate and liked, i would say I loved but they cut some really important stuff in chapter 3. For example they cut the upper city and with tghat the end of the questline for on e of the companions wich results in only bad endings for that companion. Knowing larian (they always add the cut content back on updates and normally cut content bc of time) and the rumours that theyll release modding tools I will wait before playing my second run. Still its a good game with a lot of potential for and year from now.

I'll be honest I don't think this game is getting Skyrim level mods. As much as I want it to have a SexLab Framework similar mod for BG3 it just doesn't look like a game that would fit with that. Then again I could be wrong but time will tell, just don't expect any massive NSFW gameplay changes any time soon the game is still getting massive fixes and changes and it only got a full release 2/3 weeks ago.

Yeah I agree with your prediction. Even though there's already a lot of mods on nexus, I think the way the game packages assets will make it inherently more difficult to mod, compared to games like Skyrim or other Bethesda games that let you mod loose assets and just plug them in.

If anything it'll be more like modding Mass Effect or Cyberpunk, since modding for both those games is doable, but it's a lot more involved for the average modder. At least we don't have to re-compress the ENTIRE game like you do for ME each time you change a single mod.

 

This kind of asset packaging is a trade off between ease of mod-ability, and more optimized performance (at least for ME, but not cyberpunk, which is still a buggy, low FPS shitshow 2.5 years later lol)

I think it is worth noting that Creation kit for Skyrim launched 3 months after game launch to a huge modding community.

 

There isn't as large of a community around DOS2/BG3. I think this is one of those things that you may have to wait a year or two for.

Unfortunately it seems that the modding environment of BG3 would remain unfavourable for a rather long period.  Lucky for me though, The humping animation part may be relatively less prior for me, and there have already been several decent class and item rework on Nexus, maybe a lewd one is not that impossible, I suppose. 

I'm hoping of something like, for example, a tadpole lurking inside the victim's womb, attuned with the Solar Plexus (there are adequate neurons here, just like brain) with its mind power, giving the victim unique Illithid powers while corrupting them into a brainless slut (literally). what an ungodly abomination.
