EndeRappy Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Title, the characters stand in one spot coupled together instead of correctly playing. I've registered all animations many times so far, re-installed different versions of the mod, even installed the FNIS XXL version just in case something's up with that, but nothing's worked so far. Thank you in advance! Attaching mods/plugins list and Papyrus log. Do note that some of the SexLab mods were installed manually to ensure they were installed correctly. Papyrus.0.log

Do the other sexlab animations work correctly? The list of unmanaged mods is concerning, means you are using a mixture of manual and virtual files, makes it real hard to know what is actually going on in there. FNIS output log would be the most useful bit of information to have.
Miauzi Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Here, too, the suspicion is that the user installed everything together and never carried out a thorough functional test of the individual mods. Yes - it all seems like the proverbial "cabbage and turnips". and a few questions: Which Sykrim version is it? Which SKSE is installed and is the game started via it. Was FINS run BEFORE the game was started? If so - what does the log look like? Please post!

Other SexLab animations work like More Nasty Critters and a collection of other packs (humanoid stuff), it's just those two packs not working so far. Installed SKSE for "Current Anniversary Edition build 2.2.3 (game version 1.6.640)" and I run the game via the loader as instructed. I ran FNIS every mod install and then some.

They aren't installed where FNIS can find them. Either they didn't install to where MO can find them, or FNIS isn't being run through MO.

That would be precisely why I installed many of the mods manually. It's weird for the packs to not be detected right though, as they show up normal in SLAL MCM. Do I try installing them manually, then? Update: Forgot to mention the packs install through a fomod which, to my limited knowledge, should mean it's working? Update2: Just went through my files again and MO seems to be installing the packs to the mods folder in its base directory. Not really sure if that gets us anywhere. Edited July 20, 2023 by EndeRappy

A hybrid manual/virtual install like yours inherits the problems of both methods without getting the advantages of either. There's a good reason nobody does that. 51 minutes ago, EndeRappy said: It's weird for the packs to not be detected right though, as they show up normal in SLAL MCM. Because MO reads those files. Those are just jsons, their presence doesn't mean FNIS incorporated those animations at all. 52 minutes ago, EndeRappy said: Do I try installing them manually, then? Under no circumstance would I ever tell someone to do that. If it appears "necessary" then something else is fucked and will stay fucked until you fix it. 53 minutes ago, EndeRappy said: Update: Forgot to mention the packs install through a fomod which, to my limited knowledge, should mean it's working? If your FNIS were being run through MO, sure, should work. Your output logs show that isn't happening. In MO, you have to enable FNIS to run through the virtual file system using this prompt: Spoiler And do something like this: Spoiler ... to generate desktop shortcut that runs FNIS through MO to find all the stuff that you have installed, so that FNIS can find and then rebuild the animation files. Given your hybrid setup, I have no idea if that will even work. Good luck. 2

Miauzi Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 How they can solve all this? My honest opinion on this -> not with their approach so far. From my point of view they have two basic work mistakes 1) they don't know how to install and organise their mods. What are they using? ModOrganiser 2? either they really learn to use it, and that is not easy and requires a lot of their free time - which they then don't have to play with. or they switch to another mod organiser like "Vortex". which is easier to use ... but also has its problems that you have to learn to deal with. all in all this would be a faster way but not free of stumbling blocks (I know what I am talking about as I use it myself) 2) To continue to tinker with your existing game installation will not bring you any further without actually profound knowledge in modifying a game. so you can continue to "sink" your free time here or you can go the way of a clean new installation of the game ... where you "physically" delete the installation directory of Skyrim beforehand. We call this way -> "atomic option" - but this is the only way to make sure that there is not an erroneously installed or uninstalled remainder somewhere in one of the directories - which interferes with the re-installation. and then you should really proceed step by step and test each complex mod extensively - before you install the next one Even with a short list of 100 mods, this can take up to 1 week - but this is the only way to find out whether the game still runs without errors after a mod installation.
