gamertech100
Hi, I've been trying to use the framerate limiter with the wilds enb but just can't get it to work, everything zooms around at 60fps, and my rig can't handle that constant frame rate, I've tried using the inbuilt limiter with the enb but that doesn't make any difference, and I'm sure I've set the proxy's correctly. I've also tried the Skyrim Limiter with no change either, and I've tried MSI after burner and Radeon Pro, and nothing, just the same constant 60fps nothing seems to work :/ I had the same problem with project hope enb as well. hmmmm Link to comment
Veladarius
If you have VSync turned on then turn it off as that will try to have the FPS match the refresh rate. I don't know how well the frame rate limiter works in ENB, last time I had used it everything only ran at 16fps or less. Link to comment
gamertech100
Thanks, I'll turn off the Vsync and see if that helps, it's a little frustrating as I had everything set and working with the wilds, and after a few new mod installations, skyrim broke (again) I uninstalled all the mods and reinstalled them, and everythings kind of off, and not working properly, to be honest I have this issue with Skyrim over and over again. :/ Link to comment
gamertech100
Ok, everything seems back to normal now, I think I'll stop modding Skyrim for awhile, It's tiring trying to fix it and return it to a state I had it before, with 120 odd mods running it takes hours to fix when things go wrong. johnnyboy88
Careful with turning off vsync. Especially if your frame rate limiter isn't working. Frame rates over 60 can have negative side effects. Physics can go wonky as well as script timing. I highly recommend having vsync enabled or a working frame rate limiter. Personally I disable vsync and use Riva Tuner Statistics Server to limit my frame rate. And because RTSS can interfere with enb I use the enb injector version instead of the wrapper. Link to comment
Veladarius
I have not seen any issues when my fps are over 60. I usually break 60 indoors and have hit as high as 110-120. Most of my crashes are either outdoors (rather random) and in the inventory/smithing menus. Link to comment
