No Greeting caused by race being non playable?

Occasionally I come across the no greeting bug but its very unusual.

Examples

 

 

For example with the lovers GG blackmail quest in the inn the drunk when you are whored out to him he may get this bug.But most of the time he does not.So it has not been an issue.other than reloading a save.

 

However , a cute dark elf in bravil underground has this bug and I would love to have her as a trainer/slave but alas the bug is persistant .Oddly the elf , who i think is a dark elf, in the medical center does not have this issue.

 

 

Now, i started the Crowning Isle quest with the sirens and they have  the no greeting issue , but only after I got inprisoned.Apparently I had a small bounty and I though heck oh well just spend a day in jail instead of paying and bang no greeting bug.Now I could go and retest to see if it was the jail thing that effected it but this is a mildly annoying bug that I now want to kill.

 

I read a few posts about this on the net and they mentioned that the non greeting bug and a race being unplayable may be related.Is this true?

 

now i know nothing about CS so F* it I guess i have to learn about it sometime, so I downloaded it , installed it , learnt how to load obse with it.Ok now there are a million and one tutorials but I couldnt find one that specifically deal with how to make a race friggen playable.F' it so after spending a while messing around with it I found under character/race/text data a check box playable.

 

So if I was to load oblivion esm and choc elves  and check the playable box would this race become playable now? anything else I need to know like should I load all the masters of choc elves as well? I have to make the choc elves the 'active whatever you call it ' to save changes .Is this incrediably dangerous etc etc.

 

Also I have sirens and tritons installe so I  scrolled  throught the tab on races I noticed on my install that some of the tritons/sirons are playable and others not is this the cause of potential problems?

Load order

Run BOSS, sort the Mods which BOSS did not sort manually (clothes Mods to sorted clothes Mods, house Mods to sorted house Mods, .....)

 

Then sort your Lovers Mods, example load order here in the Spoiler http://www.loverslab.com/topic/4487-please-read-before-posting-here/

 

All others Mods (house Mods, DLCs, clothes and armors) above Tamago ! Race Mods and  companion Mods to MBP.

 

And you should not play Lovers with PK Extender with Crowning Isle. ( see/read CrowningIsle instructions )

 

After sorting your Mods test your game with a save without the "No Greetings" bug. (or a new game)

Yes the "No greetings" bug occurs by no playable races and when you teleport/cheat towards or away from ShiveringIsle.(you must always use the MagicPortal ! )

 I have recently boss sorted all my  mods.I  then handed sorted all my lovers,MPB,XeoSP, as well as the mods BOSS did not recognice.It helped preformance of oblivion - save game bloat , stability etc enormously,Dunno what else I can do to improve load order.Plus I have not introduce any non lovers mods that would cause me to run BOSS again.

loversPk extender is not recommened by the author .God dammit !!!  I love loversPk extender.Ok i will give the quest a try without pk extender .Do you think loversPK extender is related to the no greeting problem?F*****

 

Good job on LoverBitch be dying to retry it with Tamago heat fix , I miss all those pervy pics.

yup the culprit was LoversPk extender.uninstalled went to bravil underground talked to the choc elf train and greeting bug gone.Went to sirens island and all the guards are now talking to me ,, i think they are choc elves and the sirens everything now works .

Ok the bug actually reoccured but I found the reason by trial and error.For my particular install .actually I am rather chuffed about fixing this as this was the last problem to solve to actually getting all my lovers stuff working properly.

 

Basically I deactivated all my mod and only had active oblivion , shivering Isles , official and unofficial patches , and race stuff MBP + xeosp.Started a new game, after checking with the cons kit that choc elves where a playable race but they would not appear at race menu.I had choc elves in the my load order acording to the load order on the MBP op on LL,

 

So I loaded new clean save and moved choc elf down one position in my load order .I repeated this proceedure until they appeared.Eventually they appeared when I positioned choc elves eps below lop elfs esps.Now fixed.

 

However  originally i did not just install the MBP omod from LL but went and got other versions to find meshes/textures missing from this omod like for the Diablo 6in 1 , champons, f117 race, and choc elves.
