Conforming Sliders

Hello. When I was newer to Outfit Studio I didn't understand the difference between "Conform All" and "Conform Selected." So I always used Conform All.

Around a year ago I realized that Conform All is usually a bad idea, at least with Fusion Girl, but theoretically even with CBBE.

For instance, let's say you have a reference body slider called "VaginaPenetrate" which spreads (opens) to vagina, and let's say you're conforming a string bikini bottom. If you do Conform All, the VaginaPenetrate will distort the string bikini and spread it when you use that slider. But that's an example in which the body should move without stretching the outfit.

Another example is the Areola Size slider (which exists in both CBBE and FG). It absolutely does not make sense for a larger areola to make the outfit stretch larger. In real life, what you'd have is nipple slip, not a bigger bikini top or clothing over the nipple.

So when I conform sliders in Outfit studio I use the following general rule:

1. If the outfit does not touch the vagina nor the nipples, I use Conform All.

2. If the outfit does touch either of those body parts, I first deselect the Areola Size, the Nipple Size and the VaginaPenetrate sliders, and then I use "Conform Selected" which conforms all the sliders except the ones I deselected.  [Obviously sliders like nipple length, perkiness and the like need to conformed because those are sliders which are meant to change clothing shape.  Also be aware that if you have a problem with nipples punching through a top or the vagina punching through a bottom it's almost always because the outfit doesn't have enough vertices in comparison to the reference body. When I'm converting CBBE outfits to Fusio Girl I almost always have to add vertices on those areas where FG's reference body has more vertices than CBBE.]

What if I accidentally did Conform All and now have an inappropriate slider affecting the clothing? Then I:

a) select the clothing part I need to fix slider(s)

b) I deselect all sliders and then select only the sliders I want to clear

c) I select "Clear Slider data" for the clothing parts I need to fix.

Side note: If it's only one slider I want to clear I can alternatively click the slider as if to edit it and then Clear Slider data.

Here's an example of a shirt (the Sloppy Top from EasyGirl if I remember correctly) in which I deliberately did not allow the areola size and nipple size to affect the outfit. That gives a natural looking nipple slip without distorting and stretching the shirt and its string.

If I had used "Conform All" then the cloth over the nipple would be unnaturally stretched.

Anyway, I just figured I'd mention that in case anyone isn't certain when to use Conform Selected :)
