R0R0N0 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I reinstalled my OS recently due to hdd problems. Installed 3ds max with service pack and product updates, then installed nif importer-exporter 373. But when I import xp32 skeleton I get this missing left foot bone, I can select it from "Select by name" and but it appears to be disconnected from the rest of the skeleton. Has this happened to anyone else before? thanks.
Vioxsis Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 It looks like the left calf is linked to the right calf. Is the body deforming with the skeleton? you could try unlinking then linking it to the left foot or importing a different skeleton.
R0R0N0 Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 The foot bone doesn't deform, it moves freely from the calf bone. The vanilla skeleton seems to work fine, it just kinda bothered me that xp32's skeleton didn't import properly. I wanted to make use of the extra bones. Here's the scene file: my faulty imported skeleton.rar
Vioxsis Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 There's two skeletons in there? I think the second skeleton is for deadly mutilation compatibility. The proper skeleton imported correctly the reason the calf and foot aren't connected is because there was a empty node in the nif to make the legs longer.
