First Person Mode Sims 4 Issue

I've looked up everything I can think of on YT, Google etc, and everything says to use Shift + Tab. I tried this in live mode, but it pauses my game and taes me a sort of menu screen. How do I enter first person mode without this happening? (when i exit the menu it unpauses my game and it stays in third person)

This sounds like you're using the Steam version of the game.

If I remember correctly, Shift + Tab is the default key combo to open up Steam's in-game Overlay.

 

So, the easiest thing to do would probably be to go into Steam Settings -> In Game -> Overlay Shortcut Key(s) and change it to something else - I myself use Shift + ~ combo as Shift + Tab is a combination often used in games.
