Bound in Town

Basically, while in town, the player is always bound in DD gear.  Optional MCM option to either unlock the gear when they leave - or just 'forget' and leave it all locked on.  Options in MCM of what 'set' to use and which devices are used or can be used.

So no one can make another mod where you get bound in the towns?

Well, originally, there was 'City Bondage'. Then somebody, I forgot who, made 'Devious Guards'. In 'City Bondage', you get magically bound when you enter a town, like, literally a particle effect happens, and you're in shackles. Later in 'Devious Guards', the guards can randomly tie you up. The guy who made 'City Bondage' believed that 'Devious Guards' violated his copyright, and asked it be taken down. The author of 'City Bondage' also took their mod down in protest. This site, loverslab.com, didn't react to the request, as far as I know, but the author of 'Deviou' eventually took their mod down. Also, the author of 'City Bondage' threatened a lawsuit.

 

In my personal assessment, the whole thing was laughable, because:

1. Game Mechanics can't be copyrighted. Hence, you could copy another mod or video game's mechanics wholesale, and barring a patent, the original author can't do a goddam thing about it.
2. Even if they could be copyrighted, the mods barely share any similarities. Would be like if the makers of 'Doom' sued everybody else who made a FPS.

In conclusion, I believe the only reason 'Devious Guards' was taken down was because its author gave in to the bullying of the author of 'City Bondage'. And this is very sad.

 

But somebody could make such a mod again.
