Bluegunk Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 (edited) As an experienced mod user on my Nth play-through, it's the walk of shame to confess this. I'm in a total pickle with my new play-through. I use MO2. Somewhere along the line, using my gaming laptop away from home, I've completely buggered up SKSE. I created my usual kind of play-through and after 30 saves noticed that Overwrite was putting the JSONs and other stuff under SKSE/Plugins/ etc, Quite normal. But my SKSE MO2 folder had no SKSE top folder. It leads with Plugins. Therefore, Overwrite could not place the Jsons correctly. OK, no worries, I rebuilt the folders. Now the game refuses to find Chargen and presets. So I start a brand new game and reinstalled Race Menu. Game still cannot find Chargen presets. This means trying to access Race Menu or the derivative "Vanity Mirror" ends up stalling the game while it searches fruitlessly for stuff that is already in the folders they should be. Now, I'm not a youngster, I'm having multiple senior moments here. WTF have I done? Any clues gratefully received. Thank you. Edited June 20, 2023 by Bluegunk
Inquizit0r Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 You have SKSE folder inside of a SKSE folder. That means it looks like this "\mods\SKSE\SKSE\Plugins\CharGen\Presets" instead of "\mods\SKSE\Plugins\CharGen\Presets". 2

Yes, I thought that is odd yet I had a reply from an MO2 user on the MO2 Discord that this is correct. The drawback is Overwrite keeps placing a SKSE lead on everything. I'll try again...
Bluegunk Posted June 20, 2023 Author Posted June 20, 2023 @chasidrill Thanks. Yes, you're quite right. And I went to MO2's own Discord and got the wrong advice... ? The previous attempt had Json data all over the place into the save games so it's easier to start again. This time I'll get it right. Thanks! SOLVED
