lollol
I'd like to focus on learning to texture with a pure-texturing project, without having to worry about complex models, UV mapping. More simple model that relies on the texture. I'd like to make Organization XIII black robes from Kingdom Hearts, first as a retextured oblivion robe with a black leather tiled custom texture. Then using the previous texture as a base, create a new texture for a quick fairly low detail model that better match the actual coat. I'm more used to Oblivion so I'd like to make it for Oblivion first, just want to create ok looking custom texture. I found a texture on cgtextures.com that has the kind of detail I want. How should I proceed as a beginner to texturing? I want this project to be Oblivion texturing 101. Base Image I might use(perhaps a different one would be better?): Kingdom Hearts black coat Link to comment
lollol
Should this topic be deleted and remade in a different section? It seems users can't delete their own threads anymore. I could remake it later, would it be better to put it in Oblivion General(or another section)? Edit: Perhaps I've found a bug on the site, before this post, it said this thread had 0 views. It updated to 80 after this post. Link to comment
gregathit
The forum update has been changed so that it doesn't happen very rapidly. This cuts down on server load. I can if you like move it to the Oblivion general section if you want me to. If so just holler. Link to comment
