The only guide there is is outdated. Your best bet would probably be to look at some of the other converted packs. When you run into trouble you can always ask for help over at the OStim Discord.

None at all. But it helps if you're already familiar with xml syntax.

The closest thing to a guide that I have found is this program, it has worked for me and I have managed to transfer some animations from sexlab to ostim, they work but the second step, which is to manage expressions, speeds, objects, sounds and dress the characters on the spot, is finds it outdated. I hope it helps you and if you find a forum or guide with the codes that perform these actions, don't forget to publish it.
