NPCs "following" the player?

A few NPCs I have interacted with have suddenly decided to start following me everywhere. Every time I fast travel, or enter or exit a building they spawn around the player character. They also tend to follow close by as if they were followers, but only one of them is actually capable of becoming a follower. The NPCs in question are Belrand, Sorex Vinius and Mirabelle Ervine. Has anyone ever experienced similar problems?

My guess: NPCs, controlled by RP, are approaching your toon. Check RPs config and change the approach setting.
if i remember right, it has "Both" and 2 other options. Change it and see if it helps.

I found a file called MF_Settings that gives a few options for RP, but I don't see any follower options.

 

Edit:

I tried using the console command <set playerfollowercount to 0> to dismiss them, and it didn't work.

 

I also decided to use <killall> to kill the 2 non-essential followers, so I'm only left with Mirabelle to deal with.

MF_Setting is for old versions of RP.

if you've installed the latest version, all options are setup thru MCM.

uninstall RP and then try

if that fixes the problem, reinstall latest version of RP

 

(a band-aid fix is to select npc in console and type tai to toggle their ai off and "freeze" them so they can't follow you)

I've downloaded the latest version. I may attempt to clean my save, but the character was relatively low level, so I may just abandon it. Thanks for the help everyone! The MCM menu for RP appears in all new saves.
