How to buy SimPoint for the Sims 3 store

I'm not done throwing money at EA for Sims stuff, just never again Sims 4. I want to buy some stuff for Sims 3, like the Boardwalks.

You once could buy it on Origin. Now EA killed that and replaced it with the Abomination of EA App.

Anyone able to buy SimsPoints?

There is an option in the EA App to buy SimPoints, I haven't tried it since I already own most of the store but I assume it works,

Uh.  Install the EA app. I didn't see it in the EA app so I deleted the app. I'm also afraid the EA app will update my steam version to 1.69 or make it so I need the EA app to launch the game.

I don't trust EA so, I don't think I'll try it tho'.

That is up to you  if you decide you don't want to deal with the EA app, but I will say that people have posted on the Steam forums that they have used the EA app to buy points and it has not resulted in installing the EA version in place of the Steam version.
