Installation issue: Stuff does not shows in game

Hi all,

 

Recently decided to reinstall Oblivion and to save me some trouble i followed this guide: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/8893-installation-guide-with-lovers-mbp-and-wyre-with-bashed-patch/ to the letter, but everything went FUBAR.

First of all, 4k high-res body textures failed to install, no matter how I installed it - via the tool provided or manually. Subsequent attempts to install DMRA fine-tuned body meshes reverted the body meshes to Oblivion vanilla ones (for testing purposes I tried installing HGEC v.1.21 - the only thing which was working). Than, I tried the combination HGEC + SetBody v.1.20 + Growlfs Universal skeleton, but changing the body type leads to boobs-to-infinity bug.

I got fed up after this, and reinstalled the Oblivion to another hard drive location (from C to D) and installed everything with the exception of MBP manually this time with ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated and BSA redirection active also tried to use the skeleton from APRP v1 this time. I installed all files to correct directories and verified it. Still I have the abovementioned issues.

My game is Oblivion GOTY with all necessary patches, all stuff that I tried to install is up-to-datadminister admin rights during whole installation process and I never installed any game to Program Files. Any thoughts are highly welcomed as I am out of ideas what possibly went wrong.

Do NOT use ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!!!  That method is very old and can screw up your game.

Use OBMM or Wyre Bash to archive invalidate via BSA redirection ONLY.

 

As Ark stated, post your load order and what you installed (and in what order) and we should be able to get you sorted out.

After this I stopped to install any additional mods.

I have seen others have issues with the 4k textures.  I do not recommend installing them.  For one 4k is a complete and utter waste as you will NEVER see that level of detail with the game.  You would be very hard pressed to notice any deference "in game" between 2k and 4k.  Additionally 4k sucks the ever living life out of your system.  Remember that Oblivion is a very old game that will only use one CPU core so it will bottleneck regardless of how powerful your system is if you pile too much on, especially unneeded stuff.

 

Bottom line:  Stick to the default textures or the 2k ones and see if you can get Oblivion running with that.
