Something overriding SexLab tools when choosing an animation.

Basically: I have Billyy's SLAL pack and SexLab tools. I have run FNIS, and I have registered Billyy's animations with SLAL.

 

What I do is start a scene, and then hit "H" to bring up a list of animations. But when I bring up the animation list with the SL Tools hotkey, I just see the basic default SexLab animation list. The exception is if I get in early enough, and then I see the animations I registered with SLAL. But in that case, regardless of what I pick, one of the default SexLab animations is what plays.

 

I suspect the culprit is ZAP. I've unchecked the Override SexLab option, which is usually sufficient. However, this time I played around with registering sexlab animations in the ZAP MCM. I don't know that this is the cause of my problems, but I can't think what else it might be,

 

I don't have Devious Devices loaded, so that can be ruled out as a cause.

Last time I checked, SL Tools shows you the animations assigned to the current animation thread. While it changing depending on how fast you press H sounds weird, I'm not sure I'd immediately jump the conclusion that something is changing the animation list. It's an interesting idea though, and in fact the reason why I looked into the SL Tools to begin with. I wanted to make it always show all available animations but then realized it's not quite that easy.

 

Anyhow, I would start from inspecting the script of the mod that started the animation thread. If that one is only including default animations then there's your problem right there.

Interesting. The starting mod is Diary Of Mine.

 

One thing I forgot to say: these same mods were working just fine together. My mod list was getting a bit crashy and I wanted to try something a bit lighter. Between ENB Light, Rudy for Obsidian and RC Children, I had a bucket-load of interdependent mods, and it seemed easier to start from scratch than try and chop stuff out.

 

So, since they worked together before, I figure it's either something I've missed out on the rebuild (though I can't think what) or else interference.

 

I'm thinking ZAP because it does intercept and override SexLab animations when the target is restrained. You can turn it off in the MCM and I have done just that.

 

I've also noticed that sex scenes when the partner is not in bondage show the full range of animations. So that looks like another pointer for ZAP.

Could you check if moving ZAP below SL in your LO fixes the issue. I've never seen ZAP at the top before.

Alas no. I brought up the list early and found "X-Cross 1" which is what I want to play, but when the animation started, it was "face down anal".

 

Oddly enough, if I checked after the animation started, I got more animations in the list. But still not the ones I wanted to see.
