this isnt really true. we started making mods for genshin less than a year in, but mihoyo noticed and started banning everyone who used 3dmigoto. it took a few years for mihoyo to stop caring 

 

hopefully they already dont care with star rail

at launch they had mods within a week i think then ban waves happened

I thought there were no precedent of bannings with 3dmigoto specifically? At least thats what the Anime Modding Discord says.

 

Will I get banned for using mods? There have been no reports of anyone being banned for using 3dmigoto GIMI on official servers. 3dmigoto does not modify game files, so it does not trigger the current anti-cheat and after 3dmigoto is closed the game returns 100% to how it was originally. Having said that, there is still a risk that mihoyo will implement more detections - I cannot guarantee that no one will be banned in the future. In addition, you can be banned if you post screenshots with a mod and your UID visible and it is reported. To be completely safe, you can use a private server (ps) by either setting it up yourself or joining a public one. Note that cheat software have a higher risk of being banned – please be aware of what type of cheats you enable if you use these programs.

 

Just confirming because if there is precedent i might be more cautious of using them.

2 or 3 patches later, if there are still no reported bans, you can just assume it is safe.

Maybe I'm wrong, but as far as I'm aware, the earlier mods that led to bans involved directly modifying the game files.

Yeah technically 3dmigoto isn't breaking TOS because it doesn't actually change anything in the files its just a visual overlay.

This modder releases his mods publicly after a month on his patreon, other modders only release their NSFW mods on the discord, you can also make requests for NSFW mods for particular characters on the discord

Well discord doesn’t exactly have them listed and game banana has some but no absolute nude mod

WDYM? There are full nude mods listed for HSR in both the modding server and on game banana. Do note that the game banana mods are hidden unless you're logged in and have set your account prefs to see sensitive content.

So is this "the" Star Rail thread or is there a better place to post/request mods?  Search only had a few threads with a handful of replies.

The main thread is in general gaming. Pretty weird it's over there instead of adult gaming like Genshin.
