Are those the animations for exiting/entering? To my knowledge, we don't have a lot of control over which one plays (but would love to be corrected). Only thing I can suggest is Nymra's Faster in and out of Furnitures Fix.

I just want to reiterate my suggestion to simply make them templates and pull faces from a levelled list like things like bandit bosses do rather than handcrafting unique faces for both genders of every NPC.  This approach is way less work for you, and it produces better results for the user since the NPCs will look good according whatever the user's taste might be by reflecting their installed visual overhauls.

I'd think three choices—"All male", "All female", "Mixed"—would be quite sufficient, but if it's not more difficult to implement, nothing wrong with a slider.

I rarely visit LL nowadays because I haven't played Skyrim or Fallout for quite some time. And I'm glad that I did today since I was pleasantly surprised to discover this thread.

 

I feel glad that the mod that I once had worked on with such enthusiasm is still being played and even improved by those who share a similar inspiration as mine.

 

I'll definitely keep watching the development of this mod with interest.

P.S.: If I recall correctly, one of the last thing I had worked on before I decided to abandon it was a recurring event where a guard throws food in random direction and you're supposed to crawl on all fours to get the food before the others take it. If you find the relevant code lying around in my mod, that was my original intention.

 

I wanted to make the mod as a sort of kinky survival experience. So, it was one of the three main ways to earn food to survive (the other two being 1) get better at mining = given more food at the feeding time 2) seducing a guard to exchange sexual favour for food, which wasn't materialised until I left the mod. I thought of introducing some sort of an arousal system for guards which may increase if you let them see your certain body parts while you're working, or maybe by performing subtle flirting action, which may get you either a risk of getting beaten for idling or being taken to a corner and forced to perform a sexual service).

Of course, I don't intend to affect the course of development according to my personal preferences, now that the mod isn't my own. I thought it may still be good to share my original vision so that it can help understand my original code, and hopefully inspire more great features that may be added to it in time.

That would be quite nice. With the help of a set of activation packages it would be doable to make it a contest between the NPC's. Could also be used for more predicament games like throwing a key for the chastity belts the 'workers' are wearing so one can have some relief until the guards decide otherwise :P

Thanks for dropping in! And please do share anything you were working on / remember about the project - really helpful for finishing up things and inspiration. That feeding scene will almost definitely get integrated into the mining job. We could use SL Aroused as a soft dep to implement the favour system.

Also, bit of an odd question, but can anyone think up any gendered insults for men? I've read a plethora for women on all sorts of mods but a general dearth for everyone else. First pass on the dialogue is gender neutral to keep things simple but prematurely curious what people think. Can I use the same language in all cases (FM, MM, MF, FF)?

Probably, but it'd help to have more context.  There are lots of masculine gendered insults, from "pussy" to "pencil dick" to "cocksucker", but it's hard to know what fits your needs without more information.  (I'm an editor and language consultant by trade, lol.)

It's not original writing per se, mostly finding equivalents for what's already there. The next thing to get revamped is the first entrance into the mine. The line after being given the pickaxe is along the lines of "Think about using that on anything other than rocks and I'll shove it up your cunt". I'm replacing it with "shove it up your ass" to get it work for everyone.

 

During mining, the overseer says things like, "Get back to work, slut!" and so on. What should I replace words like slut with to make them work for everyone? And later what insults could I use for a male character specifically?

These are good.  I'd add "meat" to that list, too.  There's nothing wrong with just calling a slave a slave, so to speak, either.  You can add an adjective where appropriate—"filthy slave", "useless slave", "worthless slave", etc.

Egy olyan bányaterület ahol a betévedőt rabszolgává pontosabban "kényszermunkaerővé" választják.

A játékos betéved egy ismeretlen bányába...

Az ajtóban egy készséges valaki beljebb invitálja és munkát kínál. 

Mivel érc/öntecs vagy pénz kell... elfogadod.

Aztán ... elveszik mindenedet és (ruhátlanul) munkakvótát írnak elő. Ha nem teljesíted, megbüntetnek.

-- bizonyos kiegészítés esetén a ruhátlanság eléggé érdekes, mivel csak kevés időt foglalkozhatsz a bányászattal és sokat mással.

A büntetések többnyire... ismert mint akár "dse" bútorok ahol hatalmas és látványos a választék .

Menekülés:

-- Elégséges érc bányászata vagy szökés... valahogyan (Kidolgozandó. *Egyszerű megoldás, mint: az egyik őr "valamikor" a "tartó láda" melletti ágyhoz kísér és a többi rajtad áll).

-- Kivásárlás, valaki megvásárol.

-- Plusz szolgáltatások "gyakori teljesítése" (amit az őrségtag igényel) és az egyik őr *megkegyelmez (véletlenszerű).

-- Szolgáltatásra alkalmatlanság és inkább megszabadulnának tőled (véletlenszerű).

-- bármi egyéb...

At the door, a willing person invites you in and offers you a job. 

Since you need ore/pour or money... you accept.

Then ... they take everything you have and impose a (naked) work quota. If you don't comply, you will be punished.

-- with a certain addition, the nakedness is quite interesting, since you can only spend a little time mining and a lot of other things.

The punishments are mostly... known as even "dse" furniture, where the selection is huge and spectacular.

Escape:

-- Mining enough ore or escaping...somehow (To be worked out. *Simple solution like: one guard "sometimes" escorts you to the bed next to the "holding crate" and the others stand on you).

-- Buyout, someone buys.

-- Plus "frequent performance" of services (which the guard member requires) and one of the guards *pardons (random).

-- Unsuitability for service and they would rather get rid of you (random).

-- anything else...

I noticed one thing, after I escape, im still bound and apparently still have a damage malus from the whip which did not let me fast travel for some reason. Is that intentional?


EDIT: The malus was the shameful buff, and in the latest version (i was still a couple of versions old, i could fast travel and get the cuffs off.)

I def like the mod and am excited to see where its going.

- couple of things i noticed in my testing:
  - i couldn't figure out how to rest (looking at this blog i saw f12 and Q, neither really worked,) but the guard never came over to me to punish
  - my need to urinate never increased after i went once (in the beginning before i was told to work)
  - Some kind of bar in the mcm telling me if im just too weak to mine properly, cuz i dont know when ill be able to get ores.
  - some kind of way to skip the ore collection and inspection until its my turn would be amazing.

-using the shovel to escape is kinda easy (but i know you have stuff planned for that) would you also be adding guards to the admin building as well?

I've come up with a solid system for slave/guard gender choices so I should be able to roll that into the next update. This is something you'll need to set before starting the mod for the first time since there isn't a clean way for me to swap out NPCs on the spot (it'd also look weird I assume). While sex is not a part of the mod at present, you will be able to control pairings independently of gender. So if you want a mixture of men and women in the mine but you want MM or FF or MF or FM scenes you can do that.

I also spent some time messing around with ZAP and there are some limitations in its animation system that are making me seriously reconsider using DDs. Specifically, when you're wearing ZAP cuffs you can't fight, sprint or jump, which makes escape untenable and reduces options for add-on jobs. For example, a courier quest would require the player to traverse Skyrim's wilderness while trussed up (like SLUTS) but not being able to jump/sprint would be tedious. A pest control quest would similarly suffer from a lack of bound combat animations.

 

I also use OAR so the FNIS-based animation system employed by ZAP consistently fails. DD, in contrast, has solved this problem with the OAR patch.

 

I put together a homebrew animation system for ZAP using OAR/DAR but the big problem is permissions. Most of the original animators have moved on at this point which makes getting consent to repackage or repurpose those assets impossible. While ZAP 7 has open permissions, the animations necessary to allow fighting/sprinting/jumping have to come from DD.

 

The solution I've arrived at is to replace ZAP restraints/furniture with Devious devices/contraptions and have Practical Restraints make open permission ZAP 7 assets (collars, cuffs, gags, etc.) into DDs. I'd then move the escape mechanics present in Practical Restraints to a standalone restraint escape system which would then become a soft dependency. This also lets me easily access/use Heretical Resources without having to worry about LE->SE conversions. This wouldn't create any stylistic problems since I'll only choose devices that fit SoT's theme.
