Merging two meshes together makes everything go nuts!

Hey all, first off, I'm modding Nioh 2, but it uses 3Dmigoto so anyone modding DOA should have some familiarity here. Anyways, this actually has to do more with general mesh handling with Blender than anything else.

I have never used blender or done anything with meshes before, so bear with me. I wanted to use the sexy armor mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/nioh2/mods/342) but its way too revealing (has everything hanging out). So, I decided to download blender, open up the body mesh, then import a chest wrap from a different mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/nioh2/mods/166). In blender. all looked fine:

The titties were all covered up. I saved the mesh overwriting the base body mesh, but when I went into the game, it had gone nuts:

So maybe anyone could point out what I did wrong? Is there a quick fix, or is the only option to learn about blender and meshes from scratch because this is not how any of this is supposed to work?

I feel like this is one of those question that you see in stackoverflow where you say something like "just use a for-loop" and the person who asked the question replies "what is a for loop?" because they don't know the very basics. :D

problem here like always is, to start with more easy stuff. It is not meant to be easy to understand all the parameters of a workaround by doing/copying the steps without any further knowledge.

Means that a pilot is not at once flying the airbus landing it on an international airport in the first lesson.

There are lot of steps you got to learn each after the next one.

Yeah I guessed it was something like that. Thanks ?. I also realized I could dissolve the nipples with blender and edit the torso textures with photoshop to add the cloth wrap and now I have something I can work with.
