LostATurtle Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 This is only a minor problem but when I talk to any follower that uses the sultry voice type, their dialogue doesn't play but it does show up in the subtitles and they stand there with their mouths open. Is there any way to fix this?
winny257 Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 it is only possible. if mod is included in a sound folder with correct reproduction.
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 This is annoying from a mod-makers' perspective too - there are several voice types which have this issue, but are still listed in the "Follower Voices" file ("VoicesFollowerAll" in the CK if you need to find it). I had assumed it occurred because Bethesda had not actually assigned (or recorded? I don't know) all of the neccessary dialogue to that voice prior to release. "Sultry" is one of the "VoicesFollowerNeutral", a category that *does* appear to have all the options, but still several of the voices simply *don't* in-game. I don't know if it can be worked-around manually, as I do not know if the necessary recorded audio for the dialogue for that voice even exists (*note: "I don't know" really does mean "I don't know" here). To be honest, mod authors *SHOULD* check that their new follower is fully-voiced in their own in-game testing before releasing the mod. It's not as though it's hard to do.
