Skyrim runs slow with Sexlab mods installed what are some ways to fix this?

okay i stopped playing skyrim like 2 years ago because despite having a mid pc i feel like it still hands skyim like a PC from a decade ago, especially when it comes to scripts. finally after burning through all of the other games i have i'm willing to come back to skyrim. What steps can a go through to make playing with sexlab on SSE work better. despite playing skyrim on PC for almost a decade i still feel raw when it comes to things like fine tuning ini or even properly installing ENB. at this point im half concerned i may need to upgrade hardware. so before i reinstall does anyone have any resources or pointers, the sexlab aspect makes looking for youtube videos impossible.
