Colossus228 Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 Hello, everyone. I got a problem with this freaking CTD's. Well, log says nothing. Tried many times to travel (via carriage) to many cities and only 3 mentioned throw CTD's. And there was only one time I traveled to Winterhold and got no CTD, but after walking to Windhelm got CTD. This is my first time modding SE-AE version of Skyrim, so I expected this and I have no idea how to solve this. Tried nifscan, all meshes work on SSE except some of them, that doesn't meet there, many meshes nifscan unable to scan. Maybe, some of NPC replacers can cause this because regardless of population of the city CTD is throw always in same places (and i got CTD two times in same place on travel from Whiterun) and there was one time that affected NPC was in a interior on travel to Winterhold. HELP ME! Papyrus.1.log Papyrus.0.log nifscan_output.txt loadorder.txt

traison Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 (edited) Not technically a crash then. Considerably more difficult to work with. Edit: I assume you inspected CrashLogger.log for potential issues. Edited April 12, 2023 by traison

Crashlogs have the name crash-[TIMESTAMP].log I don't have any other files in this folder, named crash***.log
traison Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 (edited) That does not look like the correct output. Check skse64.log, make sure the plugin is being loaded. Edit: Quote checking plugin ...\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\CrashLogger.dll plugin ...\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\CrashLogger.dll (00000001 CrashLogger 01000004) loaded correctly (handle 8 ) Edited April 12, 2023 by traison

traison Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Only a couple of options then: Crash logger not loading/doing its thing, or... Not technically a CTD.

traison Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 More likely you installed the wrong crash logger, or you're missing a dependancy, or you already have another logger which is conflicting.

Hi, again. Can u read skse minidumps? I've got two of them (don't know how, other attempts has 0 results) and they state that thread can't access virtual path. What does this mean? 2023-04-13_20.11.14.dmp UPDATE: FINALLY I'VE GOT CRASH LOG! crash-2023-04-13-21-02-59.log Edited April 13, 2023 by Colossus228
traison Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 That could and most likely is a description for ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED 0x5 (0xc0000005). Basically what you get when you try to access a null pointer, perhaps the most common error we get from Skyrim. As for the minidump, yes I can read it but it won't make much sense on this end without the exact same environment you have. As for the crash log, I've seen this before. Here and here. As far as I know no fix has been found.

I made a backup for saves and etc, so exact same saves are working fine after reinstall. I think, that problem appeared when I installed mod through NMM and forgot to free disk space, so NMM crashed completly and ruined most of install info from all mods. But after some test i didn't find that there's something wrong, other mods keep installing good with right overwrites. In conclusion: save aren't corrupted and the problem was in files, something wrong, duplicated, missing idk. But now everithing is fine.
