Problems with enabling Sexlabdefeat

OK So you got those 3 sorted, but you need to go through the entire lot of mods installed and active, do what I said and go down ya entire load order checking on the right side when a mod is selected, do not stop at just the esm's but the entire list of esm and esp's..  there is a mod active that requires another esm or esp that you ain't got installed or is installed and was made for Oblivion.... re-install FNIS 4.0

Also going through the load order you got shit loads of mods there that I have never used, heard off..

If you tried my suggestion and it still happened and only when SL Defeat was enabled then the only thing I can think of for why you still had that problem is a bad file in defeat delete redownload. If that still doesn't work I'm completely out of ideas because if defeat isn't working with only the required mods and no other mods active I have no clue what is wrong with it as it works just fine for me.

Agreed....  sexlab defeat kills my load so I got it deactivated and run into no probs.... failing my last suggestion then i'm outta ideas...

It actually crashes just before the save menu, so the game client doesn't even get to an interactive part (when I have SexLab Defeat enabled)  I am close to giving up on this...I have tried many, many suggestions (thanks and kudos to all who have taken the time to share their insights) and I have even completely uninstalled and reinstalled Skyrim itself...nothing works.

 

So, in a nutshell, I have three errors that I cannot figure out....the ctd with Defeat enabled, the FNIS error I get when I use the generator, and the Prison Overhaul bug wherein I am led to the jailer and then nothing happens past that....I even let the game run for 30 minutes while I went and did something and came back...yeppers, still just standing there looking all expectant like they expect something to begin at any second lol.  I also deleted all my ZAZ animation files from my data folder and reinstalled it again this morning, but I still get the same error code on the FNIS generator.

 

I will post my new load order (the current one) as I have downloaded a couple more mods I wanted to try before I begin my new hardcore immersion playthrough.

 

In all it's 83 plugins, & I have gone through the entire list and they are all for Skyrim now for sure (81 enabled).  Some are from the Steam Workshop, most are from the Nexus, and some from LL site.

What skynet424 said is most likely but something I would like you to do for us also if you can't find anything after doing that...

 

It is long and a pain start up your mods one by one starting with sexlab defeat's required mods and then defeat and only those 3 mods, skyui, sexlab, and finally defeat don't forget to run fnis after turning sexlab off and again when you turn it back on, if it still crashs at this point let us know.

 

As for the error your getting from fnis I believe.... This is your issue.

 

 

I have FNIS 4.0 beta 3 installed...in fact I've installed it three times now  

I still get the same FNIS error unfortunately

 

I will let you know what happens with the long and painful process of enabling each plugin one by one...but I don't hold out much hope.  Even with *only* the SexLab Defeat plugin enabled and it's necessary masters that I posted, it still ctd's in the same place.

Update....

 

With every mod and workshop subscription disabled or *uninstalled* (in the case of Nexus mods) I still get the ctd with SexLab Defeat.  I cannot follow the instructions on the page given by the mod author as I do not get that far, not even into the game...I start the client (with OR without SKSE), I get the Skyrim loading icon, and then poof...ctd.

Yes...I can run with most of the other mods installed, including Prison Overhaul (even though it hangs when my toon arrives at the jailer)...actually....scratch that....yes, everything but SexLab Defeat can be active and it will get me past the loading screen...

 

My last effort was with *only* SexLab Defeat and the required additional mods, and it crashes the client on startup....weird huh?  <scratches head>

Unfortunately you are correct, but there are a lot of features with Defeat that are (in my opinion) better than Submit...which is why I was curious to test it out.

 

For now I'll just forgo it and concentrate on figuring out my FNIS error.

 

The consensus seems to be that I don't have FNIS 4.0...but I clearly do...but just to be safe I've deleted it and the Zaz animation stuff, and reinstalled both...but I still get the error (which I suspect is the root of my problem with Prison Overhaul).  The vanilla prison experience is a bit lame in my opinion lol...but again...I may just have to forgo this as well, although I also suspect that with errors being reported on the generator I am definitely in for a glitch/bugridden mess at some point.

 

My aim was to make my new playthrough as brutal and immersive as possible, hence the extensive list of mods that I had installed.  As provocative as some are, I feel that they are all fairly realistic and representative of what life would be like for a female adventurer in Tamriel.  As well as Submit seems to work, there is a bit too much female as aggressor in the rape content, and there is no happy medium with gear removal...at least with defeat you can pick it up off the ground after they strip it from you.  With Submit they take everything if you have it enabled....or just your gold and tie you up for 40 seconds.

 

As unproductive as this exchange has been so far in solving my issues, I want to thank everyone for their efforts and insight.  It has been greatly appreciated, and if I can find a solution on my own I'll let you all in on what I discover.  If anyone can think of anything else, I'd appreciate it as well.  Cheers!

The prison overhaul ain't that the one where if causing problems in a hold the guards arrest ya and ya marched to the barracks and picked up by son dude then marched to the stocks to be punished and whipped... Well that gives me problems as my female character is put into the stocks and he just stands around doing nothing, so for 5-10 mins I let that run then got fed up with it and removed it. Now I tried SexLab Defeat again last night and it run no problem...

I'm out of ideas the only thing that sounds like it could be the problem is a bad download for your Defeat the only solution is delete all files related to that espsially the zip and redownload. I mean I suppose it could be a bad file for any of the other required mods, again same solution, but thats less likely. If you have skyrim on steam I suppose another solution is to Verfy Integrity of Game Catche but I doubt that would fix it if it is only Defeat that CTDs the game.

Oh I see I'm not the only one having issues with Prison Overhaul?  As frustrating as that is, at least now I know I'm not the only one lol!

 

Yes that's the one alright....my experience is that I get marched off to the jailer after being arrested, and then nothing happens past that.  The gag and shackles are removed and my toon, the jailer and the guard that brought me just stand there looking at each other while my controls are locked out until I load a save previous to being arrested.

 

Frustrating?? yes, a bit...can I live without the mod?  Absolutely.  But like I said before, the vanilla prison experience is a bit...vanilla

 

To to establish some common understanding...I want to make sure I am doing the right thing with these files, as I am definitely a noob at modding and not afraid to admit it.  I extract the files into my C/Program Files(x86)/Steam/Steam Apps/common/Skyrim/Data folder....correct yes?

to activate a mod from the steam store, log into steam and subscribe to that mod then you have to double click the skyrim launcher for it to download and install. Start NMM and make sure the esm or esp or both are ticked, then run FNIS Then launch the game through NMM. it auto install it in the correct patch.

I think he meant any mod not from steam or nexus in which case yes that is the correct path... or at least should be if thats where you installed Skyrim. You could also try right clicking the file and choose open with and see if it can be installed with nexus but not all mods can be installed this way.

At any rate SexLab Defeat does show up on my list of plugins on my NMM...I just cannot enable it.

I'm not saying it is installed wrong I'm saying the file is corrupt. It will show up in you mod list but if it is corrupt it will never work and only cause more harm then good if you don't remove it entirly. Every last thing. The files you extracted and the compressed file you downloaded. This is the only thing I can think of.

Update!

 

So...I took drastic measures and completely uninstalled every mod and Skyrim itself as well, reinstalled the Skyrim client and just what SexLab Defeat requires and....<drum roll>

 

It works!!

 

SO....now over the next few days when I have time I will repopulate my mod list, and when I find another conflict I will let you all know!  Because I'm awesome like that (even if I *am* a noob lol)
