[REQUEST] Automatically equip gas masks during radiation weather

Can someone please create a mod that allows our characters AND followers to automatically equip gas masks (regardless of source: vanilla/mods) whenever they get irradiated, specifically during radiation weather (i.e., Glowing Sea)? I realized after all these years there hasn't been a mod like this. I went through Nexus and found several that just fall short of what I would like:

 

Mod 1 - Problem: Player-only; vanilla gas masks only

Mod 2 - Problem: NPC-only; does not work for radiation weather

Mod 3 - Problem: Player-only; relies on hotkeys and is not automatic

 

Again, if someone with the time, willingness, and knowledge could make this mod I would GREATLY appreciate it! Heck, I would do it myself if I only knew how to lol.
