SE Bodies look plain, no shadow/depth

I reinstalled SE and bodies looks plain, there is no depth and shadow where they should be. I use bnp skin with dark setting but it happens regardless of skin mods actually. I didn't have this problem in LE.

I tried setting

fGlobalBloomThresholdBoost=100

fGlobalMapBloomThresholdBoost=100

it partially solved the issue and bodies are not overexposed and washed out.

Here is what it is now, still missing shadows in upper body and breasts lack 'volume'. Any ideas how to fix this without ENB?

  1. Change all lights in the cell to shadow casting lights.
  2. Realize there's a very strict engine limitation on lights in general, but especially on shadow casters.
  3. Attempt to fix it with a mod. Get disappointed.
  4. Install enb.
  5. Non-normalmap -based shadows are back.

Sarcasm aside, I don't see shadows anywhere else in the cell so I'm not sure what you're expecting here. Also, the body does have normalmap -based shadows, so I assume you were looking for something else? Perhaps a more "bumpy" normal map?

Edit: You mean SAO? Reset your ini files, or look up fSAOBias, fSAOExpFactor, fSAOIntensity, fSAORadius, fSAOValueDiffFactor and bSAOEnable to restore the default values.

Don't touch Bloom in ENB for this, it is prob an AmbientLighting param you should tweak for proper shadow occlusion on objects with object space textures. Def vanilla param is 35 day and 20 for night in Interiors, also check that  AmbientColor is set for 0 and AmbientLightingCurve =1.00
