Unnofficial Skyrim Patch on Nexus is no longer available for Skyrim SE but only for AE. So do i need it?

Hi.

 

I have wanted to sexually mod my Skyrim again and in the past i was happy doing this with Skyrim SE. then AE arrives and its all so confusing. I have no idea if many mods Sexual or non sexual have been updated to now work with Skyrim AE and even while trying to mod a SE version ( 1.5.9.7) when i go to get the Unofficial Skyrim patch on Nexus it says that they wont even supply the old version for SE as everyone should be now using Skryim AE. So basically USLEEP is redundant for Skyrim SE. So what do i do? Mod a game without USLEEP or reinstall skyrim to AE and mod it to my hearts content with AE?? and would all the mods i likely used in thepast work with AE? I really have no idea what path i should be following. Please can someone help? My fear is many mods are not being updated anymore for the older SE we all knew and that i am forced to go into the AE path but likely with a much smaller mod choice.
