As the title suggest: Is it possible to make sneaking possible in water or at least have a similar effect?

 

I don't expect a sneak meter but similar effects to sneaking will do because for whatever reason I can't stay stealthy in water.

...as well as fighting in or under water - like it was still possible in "Morrowind".

There's really only -> invisibility - through spells or potions
there is no real "Camälion" effect (like in "morrowind") either

Well shit!

 

I did a quick and easy perk to make my character invisible while swimming but it just seemed... boring. It also had the unintended side effect of making a spell in my favorite spell mod not work. I'll keep the thread open for any possible workarounds to this problem.

For me I have an active cloak spell - similar to Flame Cloak - but something that also works in water.
So I can just keep swimming there.

getting a stealth mode underwater is going to be a lot more complicated...
...how to get a "duck-and-cover" position IN the water?
on the bottom of a lake or the sea that may still work - but we actually have no overgrowth from plants - so nothing with covered lines of sight etc.

It's a shame that the Argonians weren't "donated" to more than "breathing" under water

An active cloak spell? Is it something that makes you invisible to anyone outside the cloak? I just barely started experimenting with cloaks myself.

the spell doesn't camouflage - like the flame cloak, it creates active DAMAGE on enemies...
...but something that also works under water
