It wasn't even THAT sexual, it was just cleavage... Yikes, what a prude.

 

It's because Azur Lane has some small girls as characters, and people went above and beyond calling the modder names and the usual.

Unless I'm missing something this wasn't the case with that thread I saw from a guy named Tigrextreme in 2022. The guy that posted the mod pack was praised for not including those loli characters and it got removed and locked by Alex anyways for sexual content. Alex is cartoonishly prudish if something as tame as cleavages was enough to nuke that thread. 🤣

apparently it's a lost mod, so a modder make a mod name of "take no prisoner" that allows you to capture officers during battles, however someone in 4chan decide to make an NSFW version of it, however the modder worried about the nsfw version went a bit schizo and put malware in his new version of "take no prisoner" and unfortunately the modder is also responsible for some big mods and HE put malware in them too, that is why it was very taboo to speak the mod's name in the official platform of the game

So despite the malware drama, rapesector is actually a pretty fantastic mod, even without the sex part. Sure it's lore unfriendly and it's very easy to break the whole game with "free"® captains but my goodness do i love the harpoon and the very unique twist on missions.

 

I hope it gets updated

it's kinda crazy how the modder/dev of TNP also steal the idea and the code from Capture Officers and Crew and "refine" it to become TNP and he went schizo and berserk after knowing someone also "refine" TNP into RS, so tl;dr he put malware in all of his mods that he made where it'll trigger and crash ur game and potentially corrupt ur save file if the code detected other mods from other modders dev he didn't like

I seriously have a love/hate relationship with the harpoon mechanic, since it can have weird interactions due to being unable to target the rope; it kind of totally negates the fun of the Arma Armatura mod (https://fractalsoftworks.com/forum/index.php?topic=18751.0)... but it also does add a unique but lore-friendly mechanic to pirate fights the game was kind of sorely lacking (really, lots of tiny missiles is the pirate superweapon?  Lazy thinking dev!).

 

But hey, kind of unsurprising the Grapesector mod takes so long to update, modding Starsector varies wildly in terms of labor; kitbashing graphics for ships in combat mostly just needs more arts (tedious, but not hard), but doing custom dialogue that agrees with itself in tiny spreadsheet entries, huge pain in the ass!

 

Still, already looking forward to Antimatter as just Starsector but with less weird design choices (FUCK STORY POINTS!) and apparently with more moddability designed into it:

what i realy want to know is the "Mod" still going or its been canceled ? because i have a little problem with one very Alive ship that crash my game when i want to "Feed" it

try joining the discord, he is working on it but isnt in a hurry
for now, find ship_data.csv in the hulls folder, open it in a csv editor, and add the two columns that are missing (compare it to the same file in the main game)

Okay so if you go this and change to the current game version  in this file image.png.7763e2cc619a1ed662dcda696cf0e0aa.png (it will be on the the folder of the mod)  the mod will work and haven't had any problems so just edit with notpad or wtv you have
