cnote12 Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 So I decided to edit the NPCs in Skyrim. Been years since I did this. But after exporting their face gen in the CK. In game they do not have their new hair, face, makeup, etc. Its just vanilla with dark face. Not sure what I did wrong as the NPC isn't being altered by other NPC replacer mods.
spoonsinger Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 Note I have never created a face in CK, (I try to avoid CK as much as possible). However dark face is always a mismatch between the partial definition of the face in the "meshes/actors/character/facegendata/facegeom/<name of module npc is in>/<formid of npc without leading two digits (which are module load order)>.nif" and the rest of the definition in it's associated .esm/.esp/,esl. So as you are seem to be generating faces for Skyrim.esm, check that the facegeom nif's are in the right folder. Additionally check around the interwebs if there is anything weird you have to do when generating faces via the CK because you know it's shite and there will be a simple but not obvious gotcha. Sorry in advance to not be specifically helpful.
