request -ScarsAbove nudemod

Shaved versions attached. I reworked the normal and roughness maps pretty quickly, so there may be small issues. There are some groin areas that are a little "patchy." This game really accentuates any differences in diffuse map color, so minor and natural skin tone variations look much more pronounced. I'm happy to send the blender and UE4 file package to someone if you want to work on blending the textures more cleanly. I finished the game and am not going to work on this any more.

 

I did find small bug. The mod will remove the outer clothes on Tamara. She will be wearing underwear. It does affect the pre-rendered cut scenes, so you will only notice it twice for just a few seconds. Not going to fix this.

Also it possible to do topless with backpack? Or with backpack, hip harness & boots? 

She will looks pretty cool with this stuff, i suppose

Sorry no jiggle, just some up/down movement while walking/running. I didn't see jiggle physics in the game files and it's beyond me to try to implement it.

Man the game is pretty janky. Prerendered cutscenes and yet another female mc with an ugly face.

@dt126 your mod is literally the only saving grace. If it werent for it, I wouldnt have even touched the game,

Super mod. Hope wee see updates for the non backpack version with better invisible gear/matrial in the future. Thanks for this mod and your work. 🙂

To do topless, I'd have to redo the mesh for the pants/boots (it's a single mesh). I increased her ass/hips, so they now stick way out past the pants. If you want to do it, I can send you the files. Actually, if you are willing to spend the time to redo the mesh in blender, I will import it into UE and repack the files for you.

Not sure if any of you are aware, but this can be played in VR using the UEVR injector mod. Nude Scars Above VR is amazing!

Thanks for the compliment. My wife and son (18} would probably disagree.

 

I'm glad you mentioned that the UE VR injector works with this game. I'll definitely have to try that soon (my vr glasses don't get enough use). I was actually pleasantly surprised by Scars Above. It was much better than I expected.

Can you please share the your work here or through PM? I would like to attempt to create more skins for Kate if possible. I tried unpacking your mod with the UnrealPakTool but the files are corrupt for some reason. I also tried exporting the original assets with Umodel but it crashes on export.

I'm out of the country until 5/2. I will upload what I have then and include some notes for you as well. Let me know if you want Blend and UE Project files too and I will try to ZIP and upload those as well.

 

I can't remember for sure, but this might be one the games that needs an alternative build of Umodel to avoid an error. If it is, I will get a link to the version you need.

I am back and had a little time.

 

General Notes:

1) If you look at the EXE, ScarsAbove says 4.20, but it actually uses version 4.27 of UE4. 

2) If you have issues with Umodel, try the custom build, umodel_materials.exe. Search on Gildor and you should find it. 

3) Try not to make fun of my "In Blender" Texture Painting. I'm good in Photoshop but I've always hated Blender's texture painting. There are some tools which support layers, so I  am committed to will doing a better job with seams next time. This game does a pretty bad job of aligning textures. Before I started editing the textures in blender, I had some nearly perfect seams in both Blender and UE4, but in game they did not look good as the seams moved more than I had seen in any game before. I wasted too much time on this.  

 

 

My Files - I am attaching three things for anyone who wants to work on this:

 

1) ScarsAboveMod_P for Packing - This is the subdirectory and files that I used to create my PAK files. To use it, you would simply drag the directory "ScarsAboveMod_P" onto UnrealPak.bat (I used the uncompressed version, but compressed should work to). Make sure it is for 4.27. Note that there are some important null meshes in this directory structure (such as for the jacket) that are NOT in the project file. You need these so that the game will use an empty mesh for the clothes. The custom backpack I modded is SK_KateBagAccesories.uasset (and uexp). If you want to remove the backpack, then change these to empty files as well. If you want to leave the default, then just delete these two files altogether.

 

2) ScarsAbove with Backpack Blender - The BLEND files were created in 4.0. I included the meshes for Kate and the Backpack. I also have Kate's head in the main body mesh. I used the head for alignment but when exporting to an FBX file, I did not include the head (and let the game use the default). Note that the head and body are not joined and they do not align. I have been able to fix this with other games, but for some reason I could not get it to work out with Kate. Since Scars is not a terribly long game, I did a quick fix and added mesh to the body so that it extended to the neck and blended at the black band. With effort, you probably can do a better job than I did. If someone fixes this, please let me know what you did. 

 

3) ScarsAbove with Backpack UE4 Project - I zipped the whole project directory so you should be able to open everything in UE4 and edit.

 

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask me any questions. Probably it's good to ask in this thread as it may help someone else in the future.

Ooof... I have looked at the files and I have to confess I've chewed off more than I can handle. This is way more complex that I'm comfortable working with. I've done some basic mesh and texture editing in Blender but nothing as complex as this. Thanks for sharing the files but I'm going to leave it to others pick up where you left off.
