Enchanting went wrong

> Since I do not know (neither my Prince) how to ask a proper question about the problem we have (That's why I never got a right answer on the other forums) I was hoping you, guys, might help me since many of you are familiar with my lame English :classic_blush:

> OK, here is the problem. My Prince wanted to enchant certain item, He did it before and never had a problem with dis-enchanting one item, and enchanting the another item with same attributes. This time disenchanting that item went wrong since enchanting wanted item didn't copy enchantments on the new item. However, enchantment was listed in SkyUI and supposedly enchanted item is listed as enchanted but it is not. Now, that failed enchantment is irremovable or as to say, he doesn't know how to remove it from the list if it is possible. Loading previous save is not optional since it will take him waaaaay back in the game. So, we need you help in this matter. Thank you :classic_heart:

? That sounds to me that some mods are involved?

Anyway, you might be able to use the console to cheat/fix the items.

But I suggest to start with plan A: the failed in-game action first. Can you tell us the mods that you play with ?

And plan B: are you still familiar with console commands ?

> Thanks for the answer. My Prince says he disenchanted and enchanted those two items several times and he never had a problem until now. He doesn't want to looking for the cause of the error. He only wants to if it is possible to remove that item from enchanted list.

OK. That's raising the bar for the challenge ?

Most likely we would use : playerenchantobject to recreate that enchantment

If it's not that urgent and can wait for the next weekend, I'll make a series of screnshots and post you a guide how to do that? I guess I'll have some spare time on my own to do that on saturday or sunday.

In the meantime I could have a quick look if there is a YT guide, doing the same.

Anyway, it would help if you could tell us the enchantment and the item that we are talking about?

Because as far as I know, the enchantments (working or not) are permanently embedded into the item.

To remove them, we have to use a trick: We need to know the underlying previous item ID, replicate that item with the console and just remove the (failed) enchanted item from the game.

And tell him to make a permanent save from the game now. If we break anything with the console, we just load that again and repeat it correctly.

> He disenchanted the "Cry of warrior L" ring from Immersive loot mod. Using "No enchantment restrictions SKSE" mod he enchanted Elven helmet. SkyUI shows the item as enchanted but it isn't. No attributes were transferred to the helmet. All other enchantments went well but this one that worked fine until now. He even reinstalled the mods, used LOOT, started a new game and it happens every time. What pisses him off is that he cannot remove that enchantment from enchanted list.
