RaulCuevas Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Well, I originaly posted this in the nexus forums in hopes somebody would be willing to help, but alas, it was utterly ignored... as some other posts I've made there. So, I wonder if somebody can help with the issue here, since this community seems much less... indiferent, to say it in kind words. I've seen various posts about this issue scattered in the web, but in the end, none of them present some kind of solution or workaround. Problem is, I'm getting my log cluttered with errors pointing to the script of the Companion's Quest "Purity" (CR13). I know this quest is buggy as hell, but thing is, I never even attempted to iniciate it. It all started when I finished the Companions Questline, all I did was ONE radiant quest for Farkas (I believe "Animal Extermination"), and then the errors started to appear in big quantities in my log. The recurring error is as follows: [CR13 (000E3163)].cr13questscript.SetCurrentStageID() - "<native>" Line ? [CR13 (000E3163)].cr13questscript.SetStage() - "Quest.psc" Line 124 [CR13 (000E3163)].companionsradiantquest.Setup() - "CompanionsRadiantQuest.psc" Line 41 [CR13 (000E3163)].cr13questscript.Setup() - "CR13QuestScript.psc" Line 26 [CR13 (000E3163)].QF_CR13_000E3163.Fragment_10() - "QF_CR13_000E3163.psc" Line 57 [08/20/2013 - 04:14:42PM] Error: CR13 (000E3163): attempting to start event scoped quest outside of story manager.[CR13 (000E3163)].cr13questscript.SetCurrentStageID() - "<native>" Line ? [CR13 (000E3163)].cr13questscript.SetStage() - "Quest.psc" Line 124 [CR13 (000E3163)].companionsradiantquest.Setup() - "CompanionsRadiantQuest.psc" Line 41 [CR13 (000E3163)].cr13questscript.Setup() - "CR13QuestScript.psc" Line 26 [CR13 (000E3163)].QF_CR13_000E3163.Fragment_10() - "QF_CR13_000E3163.psc" Line 57 [08/20/2013 - 04:14:42PM] Error: CR13 (000E3163): attempting to start event scoped quest outside of story manager. This appears no matter where I am, even if it's far from Whiterun and I don't talk to any member in my entire playsession. Most of time, when I experiment short freezes in game, I check my log afterwards and it fits with the time of the log errors. Also, sometimes I think this leads to CTD when the errors become massive. Question is: is there a fix for this? Be it in game, or maybe with some script replacement (I've found other here, like fixed scripts for bluepalacearena, lvlpredatorscript and others). Any help would be appreciated. I hope I don't have to live with that annoying error forever, specially since I've never even did the mentioned quest. Any help would be very appreciated!
Guest Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I too have that CTD error. :/ I guess the only solution is to ignore the Companion questline entirely. Does becoming a vampire help at all? I have yet to do Dawnguard.
illuminaughty Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 just started new game and stay away from those mod finally my dragonborn is stuck :' its time to make a new dragonchick :->
MikeMetal Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Not all that you see in papyrus log can be a source for CTDs. I had those errors too, and they did nothing. They seem to stopped, eventually. Without posting load order and system specs there isn't much to tell about your crashes.

Without posting load order and system specs there isn't much to tell about your crashes. For me its a rare CTD. As for system specs its somewhat irrelevant since everyone will eventually reach a mod cap. I am still a bit away from that. Specs: i7 980x (6 core + HT) 3.33Ghz (Stock) 24GB RAM (1066) GTX 680 (stock) (2x3TB) 6TB HDD + 128GB SSD (OS) As for mods, I have 99 esps/esms and 98+ or so with texture/mesh files (most do not install esps/esms) I have ini tweaks on both skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini I've also have SKSE.ini tweaks as well.
winny257 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 there are other possibilities for its CTD's, one could be in the game if there are disabled mods! There are a lot of mods that do not require ESP \ ESM. Therefore, it is very often because these files are not in the data folder that if you just disabled, this mod is demanding in return "no there, there, not there!" therefore you are always on the safe side, unused mods * always completely remove!I hope you can understand everything. because I do not speak english! german \ deutsch ! es gibt noch andere möglichkeiten für seine CTD's , eine könnte sein wenn sich im spiel deaktivierte mods befinden ! es gibt eine menge mods die keine ESP\ESM benötigen . deshalb kommt es sehr oft vor weil diese dateien noch im data ordner stehen , daß wenn man nur deaktiviert ,dieser mod im wiederspruch steht " nicht da , da , nicht da " ! deshalb ist man immer auf der sicheren seite , nicht verwendete mods * immer vollständig zu entfernen !ich hoffe man kann alles verstehen . denn ich spreche kein englisch !
