Have you ever wanted to have a light turn on when you enter a hallway and then turn off after you leave.

This picture shows the method for the hallway.  You could also apply this to a room with a slightly different configuration.

I am tempted to try that with proximity sensors.  ?

You can configure them with very interesting options.
