[Nude Mod Request] Forspoken

I personally can't stand the MC's personality, she is just too annoying for me. Complete turn off. I do hope that someone makes a mod for it so that the people who do find her attractive can enjoy the game more.

My own experience so far: it's worth a mod. I'm maybe 25 hours in, been having a lot of fun with the traversal and combat loop, which is great, there are maybe 20 enemy types unlocked so far, but looking at the magic left to unlock I'm scratching the surface. There's a lot more combat to learn.

 

Full disclosure, I have a pretty new PC so it runs fine and I've set the Cuff Banter at minimal - the cutscene dialogue with JARVIC (Just A Rather Very Intelligent Cuff, my crap joke, not the game's) is fine, even funny at times, but the freeroam dialogue doesn't have enough variety to be anything but repetitive so I cut it down.

 

The game has an oldschool slow start, like Dragon Age Origins where it was a while before you were actually a Warden doing Warden things, with cuttable material. It is skip-friendly, hopping to the next line of dialogue when you want. So switch on the subtitles and you can rush through while still understanding Why You Are Going To Do The Thing.

 

The internet told me the main character was arrogant, with rude and cringe dialogue, and that everyone in the story loves her despite it. Turns out trusting the internet is a mistake, who knew. Frey has some fish-out-of-water lines, but nothing near something like a Peter Quill, or even a Peter Parker I-Don't-Want-Eggs-Laid-In-Me level. She definitely has an aversion to people calling her their savior (I guess that's the arrogance). There's also a healthy contingent of locals who see her as a threat, not a solution, and openly call for her execution (that will be the Everyone Loves Her part I suppose). Where I'm up to, Frey got called out on her trust issues at being abandoned as a kid, by showing her another character who was abandoned but didn't develop trust issues. So she learns to care about others - even when that brings her pain.

 

In short, there's a lot of commentary coming from people who have strong feelings about a game they apparently haven't played or managed to skip large chunks of. But it's the internet, what did I expect?

 

Frey is physically based on Ella Balinska, who is a very pretty young lady, and by some miracle she didn't end up with a man's jawline when she was translated to an in-game model. Someone should capitalize on that and get a nude mod going. But given the release price and the internet dogpile this game is under, I think we're going to have to wait before the right modder gets involved.

The big problem of this game is the absurd typical Square-Enix-style launch price. As far I saw from gameplay video, sadly is nothing so exceptional to justify that price. I mean, Midnight Suns have same price but got a mod on day one almost. Consider that and you see the difference. Maybe when offers will pop out, we'll see some sort of mods. I hope so, of course, cuz this game deserves a nude mod ?

Yeah. I agree...the game is very fun. I'm sure most of the issues it suffers will be patched. Naturally this can't fix some of the game's questionable dialogue, but the overall story is great. And, yes, Frey is smoking hot. But you are also playing as a member of the Charlie's Angel Squad, Ella Balinska...so she's just going to be hot like that. So far, the game is off to a very slow start on the modding scene side, compared to more independent developed games, like Asterigos. It's pretty worrisome. This was probably the worst case of pre-emptive hating" on a game I have ever seen. The hate began before launch and just sort of became a mainstream take ("bandwagon," if you will). Most people hating on it haven't even touched the game, much less get halfway through, to where the story really opens up. Then, at the end? That twist that makes you go "WTF?" Didn't see that comin.

I thought the game was great, i don't get the hate either, i will deffo pick up the dlc in the summer.

The game has a hefty price tag and you would have to sink a good deal of time into it to get past the poor dialogue and writing choices. You don't have to play the game to see that as many people on Youtube have shown gameplay and offered their criticism on the matter. I'm sure a lot of the hate it receives isn't warranted but it should go to show you that the way you design a character's personality and voice lines seriously affects people's impression of what the game will be like in it's entirety. On top of the questionable design choices, there are several performance issues which limit many PC players without strong builds from playing it at all.

 

I'm sure several people like this game and that's cool, like what you want to like, but the majority of people don't think it's worth the investment judging by it's sales numbers.

Yeah, game looks awful and that's pretty much it. There's no secret club of haters gathering around in cloaks indoctrinating people into not liking it, it was the same thing with High On Life. That talking gun was annoying as hell so people said "Nah" and that's it ?‍♂️

Annoying character is annoying, there's no conspiracy. The poor PC performance and last gen graphics, especially in this day and age, is the nail in the coffin. That is if the price didn't kill it for you.

They don't drop all the magic skills on you at once but space it out. You'll have half of all the magic styles maybe a quarter of the way in, so you have time to figure out the new pieces as they turn up.

80 hours (79.6 or something like that).

The combat is stellar. I'm still learning ways to combine and chain spells and spell sets. Tip: don't use quick switch to toggle between sets of spells, use the proper initiating moves. On controller, this LB + RB + A, B, X or Y.

 

Anywho...I thought I'd extracted a couple of the EARC archives, but I couldn't get Flagrum or Noesis to open the GFXBIN or BTEXT files. One would think the FFXV tools would work. I'm not a modder, but was hoping to, at the very least, locate the assets used for Awakened Frey, so I could rock the look in general gameplay. In theory this could be as easy as taking the assets used for her final form and backup and overwrite her vanilla appearance. Hopefully someone will figure out the tools for this game. Definitely wouldn't mind to see Ella Balinska nude LOL

And now mods for Forspoken are popping up at modworkshop dot net. Not sure what the rules are on linking to other sites. Going to be keeping an eye on where this goes, having Frey with long hair is a nice change.

At this stage they're mostly they've moving assets within the game - being able to have the Awakened Frey from the finale, or use her long hair from the opening, shoe color, stuff like that. Early days. Hopefully invisible cloaks should be easy enough to do.

There’s currently still no way to modify models in Forspoken, so it’s just simple swaps and color for now I’m afraid. The creator of the Flagrum mod and Blender add on tools confirmed this. It will all be much easier if the devs open up to modding, like they did for FFXV. You can extract models and do whatever else you’d like with them but you can’t reimport them into the game. This is good news for the hentai industry lol, just not for modding the game. 
 

I’ve opened Frey’s many models in Blender and can export them to FBX or anything else, just not anything useable for the game.
