Help with an outfit mod (bodyslide)

Okay I think I'm starting to understand bodyslide (a little). I recently downloaded [SunJeong] Ninirim Collection 6.0. What I think I am supposed to do is: 1. Open bodyslide x64, select the preset that the author said they provided ("BodySlide: Please build the outfits under the name [SunJeong]. Included in this download is a slider group called [SunJeong] Ninirim Collection.xml to quickly batch build the outfits of all the Ninirim related items."), use batch build with build morphs selected to select ALL of the authors outfits. This way, in game, when I equip the outfits, they will have the correct shape that the author envisioned, I think? But that preset isn't available in my list of presets. Also, a bit of a tangential question, but wouldn't that change body of the character I have somewhat significantly (depending on the body types I choose for my REGULAR models)? Like say she'd go from A cup to D cup if the author set it up for that? Can someone please help me out here? I've read the bodyslide FAQ (this one: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Bodyslide:_Guide_and_Tutorial#:~:text=Bodyslide an application often packaged, bodies of females in Skyrim.) several times now but i'm still a bit confused on what to do for other mods. Like what if I downloaded a character preset (for the main character) and only want to use the relevant body on them, and none of the npcs? Some of them say to use a specific body mod (like this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/58030?tab=description) and others don't. To be clear, my biggest problem is that the preset isn't available in my list of presets. Does anyone know why it isn't showing up?

Sometimes presets need to be added to a group so it can show up. At the top of bodyslide you can use the "save as" function to save the current preset to several groups so it'll appear on their lists.

Though looking at the NInirim collection 6.0, I don't think the mod came with a preset so  you should just use your own.

A preset is just a saved version of slider settings, so its safe to use your own. Using someone else's preset will change every armor you build with it, just as you suspect.

Some followers come with their own body and armor paths, so their shape will be independent on what you use for your skyrim.

There are also mods that make it so you can build armors specific to each race so they look different depending on whos wearing it.

I understand, thank you for your help! But what did the author mean when they said "BodySlide: Please build the outfits under the name [SunJeong]. Included in this download is a slider group called [SunJeong] Ninirim Collection.xml to quickly batch build the outfits of all the Ninirim related items."?

Bodyslide has a search function built into it. By typing sunjeong, you can automatically pull up all the outfits from that mod specifically ( since the mod author conveniently put that word in front of all their stuff.) You're gonna end up with thousands of outfits as you continue to mod skyrim, so being able to search them up with simple keywords will save you time from having to batch build thousands of outfits each time you add new clothes.

As for the grouping, It's for people who use two version of a single preset, representing clothed and nude.

The author went an extra mile and grouped outfits based on how supported the breasts are. For example, an outfit that's like bath robe that isn't closed in the front will essentially be a nude body with something draped over it, while an outfit that comes with a bra might have the breasts squeezed closer together for the cleavage factor.

And if you're using any mods that let you see your own body while in first person view, the shape of the breasts can make  a difference.

It is probably not compatible with your Bodyslide configuration. For example, if you have set Bodyslide to UNP and the like (BHUNP,TBD etc...), unless the preset prescribes otherwise, you will not be able to use a preset designed for CBBE and the like (e.g. 3BA).
With any text editing programme, open the xml preset and check what it is compatible with.
