I am also awaiting nude mods for the female mc of the game but nothing so far. I am wondering if it is because it is not actually a very good iteration of the series but it could be due to other factors.

It's just a hard game to mod in custom models. Pokemon Legends: Arceus had the same problem until somebody was able to figure out how to mod in nude models.

That person said they would do the same for Scarlet/Violet, but they haven't been active lately so who knows when that will ever happen.

You could just use the mesh someone linked a while back or any body mesh and add a UV map to it with your custom texture. Process not really any different from PLA apart from vertex groups having different names for the skeleton.

I mostly just play Sw/Sh and not really into modeling but here's an example of using that mesh without any textures applied to it in SV.  There's probably textures already included in that mod I didn't download them though. You could also just look at other player mods and swap mesh/transfer weights if you wanted custom hand, legs, etc.

This is a start. Now we just need a talented modder to show an interest in this mid game.

it's only a concept/thought, but if we ever got a separate nude mod of Nemona, there could even be a way to 'justify' it in-game (via custom dialogue), namely that Nemona is SO determined/desperate for a rival that she'd go nude to convince the player (despite her embarrassment at doing so)

that or she tries to pass it off as "training on the same level"

Interesting. How different are models from PLA compared to this game? Someone made a mod for PLA and I was thinking how easily can it be ported to SV.

maybe it's not that easy
that's why they are delaying 💁‍♀️

Models are essentially the same. The vertex groups for the main player's trskl are named different, and there's some slight differences in trmtr (material) files, but you could use any PLA models in SV with just minor tweaks, or a custom skeleton even.

That's really all the tools/scripts you would need apart from Blender/3ds Max, with guides on the Pokemon Switch Modding discord.

Thanks for the information, that's pretty useful to know. And the mesh that you were referring to in your previous comment was it this one from gamebanana? Also one last thing, are the vertex groups for this game similar to SwSh? I'm thinking that if they are, then porting mods from SwSh to SV and PLA would be something I'd like to try. I used to port many mmd models from deviantart to SwSh back in the day, and some of those models already had similar vertex groups to the original SwSh models; making them  easy to port, just renaming, assigning bones and deleting the groups that aren't used by the game.

I'm going to try to give this game another chance and try to make a mod for it. I'll start by using the BlueBerry Academy league uniform (p1_drs1025_00_drs00) as a base.
I'm going to try to use an existing model instead of importing a new model and rigging it.

1617.jpgimage.png.bf6f60191d4c423ecc1c36cb4d82bac2.png

As of now I've merged the legs into the shorts, getting rid of those grey compression tights underneath, making the shorts, shorter and merged them at the end of the legs (the barefoot model, p0_lgw0000_00_lgw00).
image.png.7bb165f54c59d79f0550fd7369ac5e8c.png

Before I try molding the shorts to take a natural legs and hip shape I'll try to separate the tank top from the neck, shoulders and arms, by separating materials.

Also someone else made this, I'm not really good at texturing but let me know if you want to help and try to take a crack at this 3d model and I'll share it with you.

Quick Update, I worked around with the BB League Uniform and this is the result.
image.png.58416b5d3fe60564b6062cd7c0dc6477.png     image.png.10cdc91091a23646f651e46303989456.png
The 3d model still needs some work done to it. Mostly smoothing of vertices and rigging the lower part of the torso and some of the upper parts of the torso. The rigging the lower part of the torso should be easy. Now on the hips I tried to make them as slender as possible, while keeping them connected to the leg mesh (the barefoot model, p0_lgw0000_00_lgw00) because the shorts are baggy and wide. And also the character wears them really high, probably by his navel from the looks of it. So the hips still needs more work.

I might also try using my SwSh Victor mod as the base for the torso and hips, I would only need to attach the arms, neck and legs to the SwSh model and replace the penis because the one on Victor looks botched in my opinion lol. The problem with this approach is that that the model will have to be rigged to match SV vertex groups. Granted some vertex groups from SwSh match some SV ones just with different names, but it would still be a task that's going to take some time.

As of now I don't think I'll be able to continue working on this because I have a bunch of midterms and hw due this week and the next. If anyone wants to keep working on it and try to smooth out the torso and slim down the hips, try to rig the model or even UV paint let me know and I'll send you the model.

Quick update: I got to finish the model sort of, it still needs some minor adjustments around the scapula in the back. I had to go through the SwSh route and use the old torso and hips from my other mod. This means I had to reselect all vertices and make them match the ones from SV. This still needs to be UV mapped to the skin texture that I posted before, and I’m not good at doing this part. I haven't tried importing it to the game yet but Just wanted to post some quick updates. Let me know if any of you wants to help me out and give it a try.

Hopefully someone is interested in making female mods too for this game. Horses for courses and all that but I much prefer nude female mods over men or boys.

There are interested people including you. The thing is I play as guy characters in games. But if you want you can try and create it, that’s what I did for SwSh back then. I saw that no mod for Victor was in the works so, I started with making a barefoot mod and that took a few weeks to finish. And from there I decided to try and make the whole body and it all took like 2 months from the first time I literally touched blender.  For this game it might be easier because it doesn't have to start from scratch, someone already made a mod for the Main character for Legends Arceus and apparently models from that game are really similar to this one so it’s just some reverse engineering. But anyways I’ll see what I can do with the model I’ve been working on. If I’m not able to make it work, then I’ll have to start all the way from square 1 and use the nude mod @Saltlapse made as a base.

Anyways I’m sorry if that paragraph made me sound like I was complaining. I just want to invite anyone to try it out, 3D modeling can be pretty entertaining and frustrating at times lol. And who knows if any of you might end up enjoying it and be the change you want to see in the world.

If my model doesn't end up working I’ll have to use @Saltlapse's one as a base and if I go that route that means it’s very likely that a female mod will come first before a male one.

I just checked the nude mod someone made for Legends Arceus and can confirm that all vertex groups are the same. Also the good thing about that model is that I'ts already UV mapped to a texture.

This means that model can be easily ported to SV compared to creating one from scratch. The only issues are that the neck from Legends Arceus' model doesn't reach the head of SV characters. And also the legs from Arceus' model would probably have to be clipped to the default legs from SV because it stops just around the knees, and I believe that SV uses the barefoot model underneath for every outfit even if the characters wearing long pants, socks or shoes, just to prevent overlapping meshes.

So I managed to adjust Saltlapse model from Legends Arceus to fit the SV  mismatching proportions (hands, thighs and neck). But now I'm running into a problem, I don't know how to import this model into the game. I've tried following some tutorials that are available from the modding Discord but I'm not able to export the model from blender into the game. @Jackson98, @CanonInterpretator, @Catnatic can you or anyone else help me figure out how to import the model and test it in game. I'll also attach the model as a .blend file, .dae and, .fbx inside a zip file below, in case any of you want to try testing it on your own.

I don't have experience in exporting models from Blender for Scarlet/Violet but I will put up this tutorial here from the Discord server for reference, because fuck the idea of storing information like guides exclusively on Discord servers instead of having them available freely on the open web like GameBanana.

Install Blender 4.3 and Install Model Importer Addon

https://github.com/ChicoEevee/Pokemon-Switch-Model-Importer-Blender/tree/main

Select all the meshes you want to export in blender

meshselect.png.272c6618be348f3fb51e8ce52abe4419.png

File > Export > Nintendo Switch Pokemon Assets > Trinity Mesh Buffers Jsons

export.png.bee78e93e2bd595d2e3e5005fd68027d.png

IMPORTANT BEFORE CLICKING EXPORT

Edit the filename part, this will export the jsons as that name and not also the jsons, also internal data that's neededfilename.png.ea3799232113938ccabc9080d71189ee.png

Now select the trskl the model used when you imported it or if you generated a new one use that one

trskl.png.a2a69ebaae4232fc7516abdf9f644661.png

Voilà, enjoy your modded trmbf and trmsh

trmbf-trmsh.png.c7038fd9ee6e0a544157a6775c0522cf.png

Test your model in-game

Once you converted the jsons to binary (trmbf and trmsh) your models should be imported already, now you need to test the models.

Once you have the assets ready, you'll need to create a folder structure that mimics where the game stores the player character's model and textures.

Models go in: "<your mod>\chara\model_pc"

Textures go in: "<your mod>\chara\share"

At "model_pc" and "share", there should be folders named after body parts or pieces of clothing.

image.png.f7e2f225931572411b51a52c9873f3ea.png

If you're replacing the default outfit for the female character, the folder in "model_pc" should be called "p2_drs0000_uniform" and you place the ".TR---" files there.

image.png.56cdc96abc88855f07660866f17cb3dc.png

There'd be multiple folders in "share" named after the texture maps like "cm_drs0000_01_tops01_00_XXX". (XXX would be "alb", "nrm", "ao", etc.)

Create a folder for each texture map and place the respective ".bntx" file in them.

image.png.fe797866fceb5722360350ee337826e8.png

Once you set that all up, use Trinity Loader to install the mod.

You might need to create a zipped file of the mod in order to install it.

Make sure that you can see "chara" when viewing the zipped file and not the folder containing "chara" first.

I'm not kidding that modding SV is much trickier than modding SwSh so good luck.
