Cavalorn13 Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Heyo friends. I am working on idle animations for creatures, but I have noticed that they are turning heads only where animation tells them to and not freely watching its surroundings. I removed neck+head animation entirely from overall idle animation in 3dsmax though nothing changed. Is it a behavior thing ?
MadMansGun Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 it could be, some creature animations are tricky bastards. when i edited the horse animations i ended up losing some of there tail animations, i ended up having to animate the tails myself, wolves also have some sort of extra data for there eye nodes that seems to get lost. but for head tracking i have not run into any problems with that yet but you are likely editing a idle animation that i have not. also if you are editing idles make sure to re-add any annotations tracks that the originals may of had.
