CongoApe Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 Title. I have downloaded hundreds of sims and would really not like to build houses and populate every single house, as this would take hours. Please if someone could walk me through achieving my goal I would be very thankful.
SticksStackStuck Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 Very simple: You open a new game, edit all the in-game sims (or delete them if you don't care for their history) and then "save as". Give the new world a name, and voila, you have a new save file. It is also possible to export the save-file, here Plumbella helpfully telling you how: 3
Nevely42 Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 If I'm not mistaken there's a feature in MCCC that will make the game pull sims from your gallery as the random generated townies. It's a great option for a new save file when you don't wanna see weirdly dressed random sims ? 2

It's a great option for a new save file when you don't wanna see weirdly dressed random sims ? There's two methods to doing this; the first is controlling what outfits any sim can change into (thus making all new sims look normal) and the second is making it so any sim imported into the game will be something you pick: The first way ---------- Using MCCC, and the portion of it called, "MCCC Dresser," you can do a whole bunch. 1. You can go to MCCC - Active Sim Flags --> Dresser --> Ignore dresser changes. (You do this when controlling a household, and now everyone in this household will never change outfits beyond the ones you pick for them) These sims will never put on random outfits, only the ones you pick. You could stop here - but you can customize further. 2. Then you go MCCC - Dresser - Outfits - - From in here you can "Change Outfit" and then go to, "Outfit Commands" Change outfits will show you everything that sim has equipped - Once in "Outfit Commands," you can "Save outfit," That creates an outfit for that category (Everything, Sleep, Active, etc) that the game recognizes as accepted. MCCC tracks every outfit, in each category. Then you go to a laptop/computer in game - and you can make it so new NPCs/Current NPCs/ only change into the outfits you have saved. This part can be a little work. I've seen some mods/addons/save files that come with 500 or so outfits for each category so you dont end up with your townies looking insane. And OPTION 2 When you click on a computer/laptop in game there are some options for how new NPCS spawn (You can make it so children or elders never spawn, you can make it so men never spawn, and you can make it so only sims you have saved in your gallery spawn) Using these settings you can make it so only sims you have saved to your gallery spawn, and they only spawn with the outfits they have saved. This makes "Maxis Match," playthroughs VERY easy. Hope this helps 2
MrGrey Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Use the household tool and make your own sims. This mod is fantastic.
