Rad Morphing Redux Helper

View File

Helper tool to set up slider sets and body morphing for Rad Morphing Redux.

With RMR Helper you can completely configure Rad Morphing Redux and preview the morph changes without starting Fallout 4.

Features

  • Completely configure Rad Morphing Redux
  • Preview morphs at all stages via BodySlide
  • Automatically set up RMR slider sets to morph from one body preset into another
  • Load, save, switch between multiple RMR configurations

Dependencies

Installing

Install with your mod manager of choice.

The application should end up in .../Data/Tools/RmrHelper/

Uninstalling

Uninstall with your mod manager.

RMR Helper does not interact in any way with the game itself, so it does not affect your savegames.

How to use

  • Start BodySlide
    • Open the preview window
    • Select the body (naked body or an outfit for that body) and preset you are using
    • The BodySlide window does not have to be in the foreground, but must not be minimized.
  • Start RMR Helper (your current RMR configuration is automatically loaded)
  • Select the body you are using
  • Select the preset you are using
  • Use the Triggers tab to add additional triggers and change the trigger value to morph BodySlide's preview
  • Use the Slider Sets tab to configure your slider sets. Descriptions for each settings can be found on RMR's mod page.
  • Use the Overrides tab to configure overrides for the slider sets (see Global Overrides in RMR's settings).
  • Preset-to-Preset ...
Let RMR Helper automatically set up sliders to morph from the current preset into a second preset.
  • Reconnect BodySlide
If you opened RMR Helper before BodySlide or for other reasons RMR Helper loses track of BodySlide, click here to find it again.
  • Save RMR INI
Save the current settings into the MCM ini file used by Fallout 4
  • Save as ...
Save the current settings into a file somewhere on your system.
  • Open ...
Open an MCM ini file from somewhere on your system.

MO2

Apparently using RMR Helper with MO2 is a little more complicated. Thanks to @Chupacabra Gonzales for providing a quick how-to.

Quote

RmrHelper installed via MO2

  1. I was initially running RmrHelper.exe from the Data tab on right hand side of MO2 interface. This won't work because it does not take virtual folders into account. You need to either right click it and select "Execute with VFS" or just add it as an executable and run it from the dropdown at the top
  2. Run Bodyslide via MO2, open Preview, do not minimize
  3. go back to MO2 window, unlock MO2
  4. run RmrHelper via one of the methods depicted in Step 1
  5. click on the "Body" dropdown in RmrHelper, it should be populated with data now

Troubleshooting

Starting with version 1.1.0 of RmrHelper, a log file is generated in the same directory as the application. If you are experiencing issues getting RMR Helper to work, please provide the log file (.../Data/Tools/RmrHelper/RmrHelper_log.log) for investigation.

Not sure how MO2 does things as I've only ever used Vortex, but the paths don't look right. The helper should be in the Fallout 4 directory in .../Data/Tools/RmrHelper/ with BodySlide in .../Data/Tools/BodySlide/ and the MCM files in .../Data/MCM/

If MO2 is unable to install it that way you may have to just manually extract the archive for now. Not sure if a FOMOD would help with MO2 getting it right.

I've tried manually extracting it to the Fallout 4 folder and it still did not work. I had to run Bodyslide via MO2 as that's the only way for it to take into account the currently enabled mods.

The MO2 file path for  the helper is /Data/Tools/RmrHelper/ , this is the virtual drive equivalent of the /Data in the Fallout 4 directory.

I one thing I realized I was doing incorrectly with my previous attempts was that I was directly running the RmrHelper.exe from the MO2 install location, but this option was not taking the content of the virtual folders into account.

I have tried both adding it as an executable and then running it, or just right click -> "Execute with VFs".
Both options produce the same results: MO2 attempts to run the program ("MO2 is locked while app is running"), I get a "Preparing vsf" loading bar, but then nothing happens and the "MO2 is locked while app is running" popup goes away.
It does produce cleaner logs, however (attached).

EDIT: I noticed in the logs that it's picking up BodyTalk.xml in slider data folder. That doesn't look right, gonna investigate if the issue is on my end.

RMR Helper crashes trying to read the CBBE.xml file. The file has a syntax error / invalid XML that the XML parser fails to handle. I remember now that I fixed that file on my end ages ago.

If you open .../Data/Tools/BodySlide/SliderCategories/CBBE.xml you'll see that in line 88 there is a space missing in the Hips Size slider.

<Slider name="Hips"displayname="Size"  />

should be:

<Slider name="Hips" displayname="Size"  />

If you edit the XML file the helper should be able to load it. I'll provide some proper error handling for these things with an update soon, and maybe even a workaround for the CBBE issue.

That worked, I'm able to launch the helper now and it does detect Bodyslide data.
Thank you for being around to provide support so quickly.

On a quick note, I was using the CBBE.xml, from True Wasteland Body, there were several other sliders in the "Hips" section that were also missing a space.
I'd suggest doing a Find for "display and replacing them all with " display for anyone else troubleshooting the issue.

Just a quick summary for anyone else troubleshooting issues with the helper:

RmrHelper installed via MO2

1. I was initially running RmrHelper.exe from the Data tab on right hand side of MO2 interface. This won't work because it does not take virtual folders into account. You need to either right click it and select "Execute with VFS" or just add it as an executable and run it from the dropdown at the top

2.  In the same MO2 data tab, navigate to Tools/BodySlide/SliderCategories/CBBE.xml, right click it -> "Reveal in Explorer". Right click CBBE.xml and "Edit with Notepad" (I used Notepad++). Find all occurences of "display, replace them all with " display

-Run Bodyslide via MO2, open Preview, do not minimize

-go back to MO2 window, unlock MO2

-run RmrHelper via one of the methods depicted in Step 1

-click on the "Body" dropdown in RmrHelper, it should be populated with data now

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, I was thinking of something like a simple find/replace to deal with such obvious errors like this one.

If it's ok with you I'll add the how-to for MO2 (without the XML stuff, as that should be fixed with the next update) to the mod page here on LL.

Hello,

Just wanted to add that the helper application does not seem to be changing any of the sliders under the "Torso" category for me. I've tested this with both the default CBBE.xml and TWL's CBBE.xml on the default CBBE body. All the other sliders seem to work just fine, however.

Thanks for all your work on these mods!

I've uploaded a new version with more detailed logging around the interactions with BodySlide. Please download that, start BodySlide and RMR Helper, select the correct body and preset in both applications, then move a trigger slider in RMR Helper (with relevant slider sets set up of course).

The resulting log file will hopefully give an idea of where it all breaks down.

Fixed! I was stupid. If you get the 112 error, run MO2 as adminstrator.

-----------------------------

I use MO2 also and followed the instructions.

1. preview window and body selected, open, not minimised.

2. RMR installed as an executable in M02.

3. Right click on RmrHelper and execute as VFS

4. Error and no body in RMR.

Thanks! The log said it found no matching Bodyslide inputs for any of the torso sliders. After a bit of messing around with Mod Organizer I found out it was actually Bodytalk causing it, even though I didn't even have its XML selected. Disabling it in MO fixed everything. I'd guess it had something to do with me using the discrete skeleton mod, but Bodyslide uses its own separate skeleton.

Discovered a new problem after fixing myself up with morphing:

I'm tweaking some muscular morphs on CBBE and there's specific sliders that don't seem to show change in the bodyslide Previewer:

ChestWidth

ChestBig

BigTorso

Waist

I'm fairly sure these show up in the game, but it might be worth looking at, since it's far easier to dial in changes outside of the game. All the other morphs work. I've attached my log of trying the CBBE Morphs.

Also, a feature request: Expand the sliders to 300, or allow the user to enter a value ala BodySlide for values outside expected range. There are a few Morphs that work well into the 300's, and the normal sliders don't go that far.

EDIT: Seems that BodyTalk is causing issues while installed. This is a problem, because it's likely people will have both a male and female body installed for he benefits of Morphing. Perhaps some filtering in operations is in order? Uninstalling or messing with a Vortex Load Order is not fun in order to get things running and morphing.

From the log file it seems like something's wrong with your CBBE in BodySlide. The "Torso" and "Arms" sections appear to not show the correct labels. Instead you seem to see the internal names for those instead (e.g., instead of "Chest Depth" your BodySlide shows "ChestDepth").

image.png.23b626374b3bb747dfcd1f58130772a1.png     image.png.6b58ea024db51a7838bdf408183697d0.png

There are a couple of other issues as well:

  • Same thing for "Vanilla FO4" / "VanillaFO4" in Full Body
  • "Size" in Legs and Feet is missing
  • "Size" in Hips is missing
  • Your BodySlide has an additional section "Legs" that should not exist

Just checked this on another computer where I have CBBE and BodyTalk3 installed and I see the same thing. Looks like all the sections that appear in both bodies are messed up in BodySlide for CBBE. And I also have the Legs section with just a Hips slider in BodySlide (BT3 also has a "Hips" slider in its Legs section, so that's why).

I'm not very familiar with C++, but reading through the parts responsible for loading the sliders and categories into BodySlide, and the parts for rendering them, it looks to me like the program just doesn't handle multiple bodies with overlapping categories and overlapping (internal) slider names correctly.

I suppose this is simply a bug in BodySlide that needs to be fixed on that end.

That's definitely not good. hopefully someone reports that or contributes a fix.

Also, a feature request: Expand the sliders to 300, or allow the user to enter a value ala BodySlide for values outside expected range. There are a few Morphs that work well into the 300's, and the normal sliders don't go that far.

v1.6.0 adds input boxes for values outside of the slider range.

I'm using MO2 and followed the instructions you provided, but I'm still unable to get RMR Helper to work properly. I suspect it's because I have MO2 installed on a separate SSD from FO4/Steam, and I simply can't move it back because of how limited space is on my main drive.

Would it be possible to add an option to RMR Helper that lets you specifically choose the filepath for mods or add some sort of better support for MO2?

Edit: Nvm, I'm an idiot and forgot to move RMR v2 to overwrite v1. It now works as intended now that the new MCM data is being loaded

My God!!!

Can someone make a version with Zeroed sliders for CBBE,TWB or FUSION
With the triggers for RADs/SPECIAL/UnhealthyCraven/Cleavage.

Come on! Its christmas! I cant believe noone throwed something about this.

I tried to make it myself some triggers but the  Preview of the body doesnt work, and i dont have a shitty clue about what could be causing it.
Please someone share your Rad Morphing Redux Config files.

EDIT >>> I have made some kind of thing here, if someone wanna try is welcome...

You need the true wasteland body and all requirementes.

You need Rad Morphing Redux and all the triggers except the last one cleavage...
Supposedly it will morph your body into bbw if you eat... Get you bodybuilder body if you up your SPECIALs.. and morph your body if you get rads.
It didnt unnequip a thing of your equiped inventory  and there it is >>>> RadMorphingRedux.ini<<<< I hope it works out ...

If not, and you have like me TWB you can go  to try this

But it only works for me if i get into the cryopod....

I have that SUP F4SE thing installed also dont know what it is not working the mod and the helper...

What version of BodySlide are you using? If it's a recent one (5.5 or 5.6), could you upload a screenshot of the BodySlide window? RMR Helper has trouble finding some sliders at all, others are identified as categories instead of sliders... a few are identified just fine, though :D

This happened before when someone was using a rather outdated version of BodySlide. Another possible issue could be a BodySlide bug when multiple bodies are installed with overlapping slider names (e.g., CBBE + BT3).

For the in game problems I would suggest you upload your MCM ini and a papyrus log that covers situations where something should happen but doesn't (or not as expected) to the RMR support thread.
