LooksMenu v1.6.20 - Not Applying Overlays?

About a month ago my LM started behaving oddly. Let me explain...

 

To be precise, I use HiPoly Faces Redux with its Seamless feature - in essence, it applies a skin override in order to hide the neck seam. On my end, at least 9/10 times it works flawlessly; and when it stops working (neck seam becomes visible again) - applying the Seamless feature from HFR MCM again fixes it up. Apparently, that's the issue with LooksMenu.

 

The reason I'm posting this is because I have a minor issue with my game. Some mods (primarily from LL) apply body overlays on the player, but they don't work properly.

Specifically, Cum Overlays (scripted). The mod in question is installed correctly, and I can see the overlays when in LooksMenu - I can manually apply them. However, when certain events take place (such as AAF scene) the overlays wouldn't get applied (Cum Overlays). Sometimes, the overlays would get applied, the other times they would not. I did notice that my player character wasn't getting any overlays after AAF scenes, but the companion (Human F) did, despite playing exactly the same animation at exactly the same place.

 

I don't use Unique Player, and the only difference between my player character and companion NPC is that the player has HFR's Seamless feature (skin override) enabled whereas the companion does not.

 

To be fair, I'm running a heavily modified game. However, the game is stable. There aren't any game-breaking bugs and crashes are very rare (those crashes that do happen are generic ones). All the AAF-related mods are updated to the latest version and I followed the manual here on LL in order to get it working.

 

Other mods that require/use LM (in my load order) are Rad Morphing Redux (morphs body), Family Planning Enhanced (Ego's), Sex Attributes, Sex Harassment (both SA and SH use morphs for CBBE), Assimilation (overlays; I use it for pubic hair) and Tattoo After Rape (overlays). Tattoo After Rape seems the most similar to Cum Overlays as both of the mods apply body overlays to the character after AAF event. Granted, Tattoo After Rape works properly and the tattoos are permanent (though they can be removed). Cum Overlays' overlays are not permanent - they should disappear from the character after a few minutes.

 

All this brings up a question - what could cause this? I don't blame the mod (Cum Overlays) for not working properly as it isn't the mod's fault; from the papyrus logs (and from just the fact that I can manually add and see the overlays when I open LooksMenu), Cum Overlays appears to be working properly! It's LooksMenu that's inconsistent with applying the overlays (at least I think so).

 

Does anyone have any more info on this? If so, I'd really appreciate if you could share any info on the topic. Thanks in advance!
