Where did these ugly vines and bushes come from?

It must be a mod because they were not in my vanilla game as far as I recall.

But I do not recall every installing anything like this.

 

Its more immersive I guess to have more vegetation but these things show up in every one of my settlements now even those that have been previosuly cleared of brush work.

 

Adds trash in towns, plus vines, plus bushes, plus fallen leaves, plus brambles and their scrapping yields nothing.

And sometimes I need to scrap the same spot twice of the same thing for it to truly begone.

 

I looked through my environments mods ( and the like) I found nothing.

Suspected a weather mod but that's turned off now and the issue did not disappear.

Sanctuary for example needs an hour minimum of constant clicking to be cleaned up, it gets dark before I am done.

And the cleanup utilities dont seem to work.

Anyone recognize this at all??

still trying to find a solution for this.

its seems they are added and spawned at intervals.

I often find myself "R"ing one and then right under it is another layer.

Also went to a farm just now that was all cleared farmland and now brambles and garbage and bushes show up on it.

And vines too.

I use a mod called something like natural green grass shrubs and trees  which makes this wasteland flora greener and more health looking . On nexus i think

I am convinced one of my Mods must have somehow added these since they were not in vanilla game.

But none of my environment mods ( there are onyl a couple) mention anything klike this.

 

I wonder if there was an update of some kind.

last night I downloaded and installed a vegetation mod.

Here are some screenshots of what my sanctuary looks like without any changes.

Can someone post screenshots up form similar locations on a fresh game so I know I am not imaging things?

Just added vivid landscape but it is not the culprit.

Bushes and vines locations unchanged. though the bushes look a bit better (the vines dont)

 

I just went back to a vault 111 start to make these unmolested location pics.

As u can see I gave myself some extra goodies this time around but I am not sure I want to restart a new game and redo allthose settelment chores again.

Just making startlight Inn feel secure took me HOURS of building walls and scrapping nonsense.

PS: I just added Vivid Landscapes in the hope it might help.

But it makes some things more vivid.

but these extra things are mostly unaffected (the vines look same as before, ugly and very low resolution)

Just tried this and it did nothing to those pesky vines, trash, ugly bushes

tried this utility again and this time it worked at least in part.

It seems ot have worked on the vines and bushes.

Not all the leaves or all the trash though.

but thats ok

(I had tried it weeks ago)

Those vines are vanilla.    If you didn't have them in your first play through, then...I don't know what to tell you.   Since you started modding almost as soon as you started playing, I suspect that a mod was clearing them for you and now that mod has been removed.

 

The mod you last posted does that for all the settlements but keeps those vines throughout the rest of the game environment.

 

Bottom line:  Those look like normal vanilla shots.

Now these vines show up in Concord on a new playthrough.. never noticed them before... but.. never really looked for them.. still

Those are all normal and in every vanilla game.    I use portable workshops to "clean" up some places, but it will eventually ruin the game, cause CTDs radnodomly.     Common thought is on that it breaks the precombines, which BGS uses to speed up drawing of a map.

I downloaded it as part of  a collection the very first thing I started playing this game this summer.

It amuses me to go through these 50s style houses and see them full of paintings.

Just imagine how sensual our culture would be, if that was mainstream, to be found anywhere.
