RtasL Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 I don't know why, but today my copy of Skyrim has been crashing constantly. It started during the College of Winterhold questline while in Saarthal, now it just crashes during the opening sequence no matter what I do (by "opening sequence", I mean the cart ride, always when horse thief guy mentions the Empire). It is quite frustrating and I'd rather not drop the game entirely cuz I still very much so enjoy it. I'll be including my LO. Any help in fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated

Install a crash logger. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59818 and then post crash log here so people can help you analyze it.

I couldn't even begin to guess what any of this means, but here's the crash log CrashLogger.log
traison Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) Check the crash log path again, you found the wrong log. Edit: Quote Crash logs are located in "Documents\My Games\\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE" or "Documents\My Games\Skyrim VR\SKSE" Edited November 11, 2022 by traison

traison Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 SDA DX Crimson Blood Patch.esp caused that crash. More specifically whatever the 0x2008C78A reference is.

I'll it out to see if it fixes that EDIT: I switched the crimson blood patch to the base version in the FOMOD, and that seems to have cleared things up. Thank you so much Edited November 11, 2022 by RtasL New information available
