Breast physics stopped working

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, i got an issue where once in a while only breast physics stop working like this. Already tried reinstalling body mods, skeletons, physics etc i got it fixed temporarily before but dont remember how. I think making a new save fixed it but that doesn't really fix the problem. Anyone have any advice?

Could be a number of reasons.

Make sure you don't mix CBBE and UNP. If you use CBBE body then don't use UNP armor and clothes mods.

Remember to build body and armors in Bodyslide with the same body preset.

Already tried rebuilding multiple times. Also i dont have any unp mods installed. The physics on the rest of the body work except for breasts.

does the dress mod contain the Shape for Bodyslide? if it does not, they must be created with OutfitStudio

Is it possible, however, to know what kind of mod it is? if you link it, it is possible to check it

Sorry for not explaining earlier but all clothing items physics work with exception for the breasts, the dress or any other outfit is not the problem i think. They worked before but they just stopped working randomly. (so all armors/clothing/body etc works except for the breasts)

This happened to me before with a mod that was spitting out too many scripts.... didn't have anything to do with breasts, it was just clogging up the pipeline. Have you very recently installed any script heavy mods?

yeah quite a couple i think, but shouldn't that prevent it completely? the physics worked for a while, but then they randomly stop working upon loading a save. Also didn't install heavy scripted mods when it stopped working

No, you're physics are working and set up properly, so it works until it gets tripped up on scripts... well, that's what was happening to me back then, in any case.

Uninstall them and try it out of a different save file. You can always reinstall and continue where you were. If that works, reintroduce them 1 by 1.

This statement makes no sense and demonstrates that you don't understand how physics are applied to the mesh.

you need to install a skeleton for animations like XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended

If a physics-enabled skeleton were not installed, how would it first work then stop working?  Again, this is a guess by someone who doesn't understand how these things work.

---

In order to understand why physics are breaking, you first need to understand how they are applied:

  • Every outfit mesh that includes the torso (that means the part of the body with the breasts!) is equipped in slot 32.  If your character is naked, they equip the nude body mesh associated with your race (\meshes\actors\character assets\female\femalebody_0/1.nif for the default non-beast race females).  Most body replacer mods (i,e. UNP, CBBE, etc.) only add physics to this body mesh.  It is the responsibility of mod authors and mod users to ensure that physics are correctly applied to the torso included in an outfit mesh should they choose to.
  • If you equip an item in slot 32, it will unequip the naked body mesh and the physics associated with that mesh will be deactivated.  The game will then use the physics that are attached to the torso mesh of the outfit you equipped.  If it is not configured, it won't work.  Again, this is the responsibility of the mod author to add physics to the outfit torso mesh if they choose to.  It may not be the same as your naked body mesh.  Note that some mod authors deliberately refrain from adding breast physics to the outfits (e.g. for metal breastplates).  This doesn't appear to be the case from your screenshot but without knowing the particular mod I can't say for certain.
  • If you want more help you need to do some testing and provide more info:
    • Do the physics stop working when you equip certain outfits?  If so, provide a link to the outfit mods.
    • Do physics resume working when you unequip the outfits (i.e. you completely remove all outfit items to equip the nude mesh)?
    • If rebuilding the bodyslide files doesn't fix the problem, did you look at the bodyslide files in \CalienteTools\BodySlide\ShapeData\[mod name] to verify that physics are applied to the mesh from which bodyslide meshes are generated?  If breast physics are not applied to the .nif in the \ShapeData then you can generate meshes all day long and it will never work.
  • Mixing HDT-PE, HDT-SMP and BBP/TBBP/CBPC may cause breast physics to stop working if not done properly.

TL/DR?  Provide more info if you want help.  What outfits are you using and when does it break.

Also. I know this is LE technical forum.

- But are You using LE or SE?

- Are You using HDT PE or HDT SMP?

- Are there xml shortcuts in your Body nifs?

I use the HDT Havok Object myself. Made it to a Bat file. So everytime HDT starts spazzing out I just write "Bat hdt" in console and the Havok Object is unequipped and equipped.

That way I fix my problems in mere seconds. These happens most often when NPC's are changing cells.

This will fix any problems with the butt, breasts and belly.

To fix HDT hair You have to unequip/equip that hair with console command.

I play with unrestricted frames. So I get upwards of 100+ frames indoors and 60-70 frames in cities. 50+ in open world.

So naturally there will be some HDT issues with such a wide range of frames. But I can live with it. It's just spazzing that I can fix with console.

Which Bodymorph did you install? CBBE? 3BA? BHUNP? TBD?

What physics are you using? HDT-PE? CBPC? HDT-SMP?

How was it installed?

Did you use FNIS with the Skeleton patch active?

Have you installed the skeleton? XPMSE/ XPMSSE

The installation is compatible with your Skyrim?
