wispydreamer Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) Alright, I got no help on Reddit, so I'll repost it here. When I open up Bodyslide and Outfit Studio, they are both empty and I can not do anything. I am launching them both through MO2, and every other program like LOOT, Wyre Bash, EasyNPC and Nemesis all work, so this is specifically a problem with Bodyslide. My Skyrim install is not in Program Files. I have BHUNP and HIMBO installed, I have confirmed that the CalienteTools folder was correctly installed for the both of them. I have reinstalled Bodyslide. After that, I double-checked that the Game Data Path in settings is set correctly. I confirmed the plugins for both BHUNP and HIMBO are active, and I ran LOOT. I have not had this problem with Bodyslide before. I did use Wabbajack to install the SME mod list, I've never used Wabbajack before and am not that familiar with it, so I was wondering if that was my problem. Joining the discord for it probably won't help me, considering I have changed fundamental things about the install. I've taken a quick skim through the skyrim mods subreddit for this problem, It seems common problems that lead to this include using Vortex, not having any mods that have data for bodyslide, and having an incorrect data path in bodyslide. None of these are true for my install of the game. Edited October 30, 2022 by wispydreamer
traison Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Are you running the 32 bit variant of BodySlide? Did you set the working directory to the same directory where the BodySlide exe(s) reside? Is any part of your path where BodySlide is installed a symbolic or hard ntfs link?
wispydreamer Posted October 30, 2022 Author Posted October 30, 2022 I am running the 64 bit version, I just checked the 32 bit version it also does not work Do you mean the "Start in" argument in MO2? If so yes. Not to my knowledge.
traison Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) If you're in a hurry, the workaround might be to install BodySlide manually, as in, do it yourself, without a mod manager. Though right now I'm not sure it would work, I was expecting one of the things I mentioned before to be the problem. For instance, I had to install it manually because I have a symbolic link (I made it myself) in my path. Edit: If you do this, you can and should still run it through MO2. Edit again: You didn't set the path to the mod directoy right? The path should be ...\Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide\BodySlide x64.exe Edited October 30, 2022 by traison
wispydreamer Posted October 30, 2022 Author Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) I did install Bodyslide manually outside MO2, but I am running it through MO2. Edit: Reinstalled Bodyslide, but through MO2 and this time. It worked? Odd because the way I had installed it worked before, maybe an update changed something? Thanks for your help. traison Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) In that case the only thing I can suggest is for you to go get ProcMon from Sysinternals (Microsoft), it will tell you where its trying to look for its files. The output will be confusing however if you're not at least somewhat familiar with Windows. Even more so than usual because of mo2's vfs. Edit: You can filter the log to include only "BodySlide x64.exe" and save it filtered. Upload it here and I'll take a look at it. Edited October 30, 2022 by traison
wispydreamer Posted October 30, 2022 Author Posted October 30, 2022 Ehh, it's fine because it's working now. The only reason I had it installed in my previous way is because I like all my tools, like LOOT, Nifskope, EasyNPC etc. to be in one folder.
