I have a problem

Hello everyone, I am trying to create an npc follower mod but the face mesh does not seem to be apearing for some reason with error code''failed to load in BSfacegenmodelMesh'' also the malehead.nif does not exist in my files for some reason.Any help would really really appreciated .

The malehead.nif is most likely not missing. It's just that its inside the skyrim bsa files. As far as I know neither of the 2 popular mod managers display bsa contents in their file browsing views, nor do they consider their contents when calculating conflicts. This is unfortunate and can sometimes lead to confusing problems.

 

As for the missing face mesh, I'd assume the mod you have to replace the mesh uses some techniques that the CK doesn't understand/like. Have you tried just ignoring that, and seeing if the resulting facegen mesh is also broken (or just launched the game to verify)? Edit: I mean it could be just the CK that doesn't know how to draw it but the game is fine.
