Skaldic Adventurer Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Hi All, I am trying to add the IsInCombat condition to a crafted and enchanted item I have in one of my saves. Specifically I have the Boethia Enchantment which I got through mods, and I want to put it on a Bikini Armour but every time I do the poison and smoke effect is on 100% of the time.
nilead Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Not sure what you mean. Editing an enchantment is rather strightforward, unless its scripted effect. Adding a condition to it is a touch harder, but again, often doable with base condtion system, depends on what exactly the enchantment does. As for editing a specific item for specific save - that is how base enchantment system works allready. Player enchanted item instances are exclusive to a save they were created in.
Skaldic Adventurer Posted September 27, 2022 Author Posted September 27, 2022 so the modded Boethia Enchantment I have is set to only be active in combat, but when I disenchant it and apply the enchantment to a new item the poison is always on.
traison Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 (edited) If you just disenchanted the Ebony Mail then you probably got the DA02EnchPoisonCloak "Boethiah's Embrace" [ENCH:000F23C9] enchantment. This enchantment already has the IsInCombat condition. Are you editing something else? DA02ArmorAbility "Boethiah's Blessing" [SPEL:00081183] which is also part of the Ebony Mail armor is added via script and is not a part of the enchantment, though I predict this will be the next issue you run into. Also keep in mind that the combat state can get stuck quite easily in Skyrim. Make sure you're not actually in combat when testing this. StopCombat in the console does not work for all cases. Edit: Or are you saying you have a mod that swaps Boethiah's Embrace with "Boethia Enchantment". If so then there's no point guessing here, we'd have to see the esp.
