Bumping for a tutorial, tried figuring it out to no avail.

I think you just drag the `playermodels` folder out of the zip into your .minecraft, open up playermodels > users, then rename the `RENAME TO YOUR MC USERNAME` file, add ` -Dplayer.models.local=true -Dplayer.models.reload=false` to your JVM arguments, replace `Template Model` with your username and launch the game with Optifine installed. Note, I don't use Optifine myself so this is mostly just guessing.

However I'd highly advise against anyone using Optifine, it doesn't provide the performance benefits of sodium, a lot of mods are flat out incompatible due to it's closed nature and stuff like that. I also am not sure if this player model replacement even works on newer versions.

Also also, I'd advise against using TLauncher for anyone using it since it's quite literally malware that installs shady certificates, modifies system files, steals mods and a bunch of other things. Please please look for something else

I'd recommend looking for a model on Figura or CPM and using those instead.
Infact, I actually have one on here complete with boob physics, and some other extras. And to edit the skin with it, you can just use Blockbench

well, i dont want to bother you with more help in tutorial, but im kind of suck of document tutorial than video tutorial with that model, yes, i did all steps instaling optifine and adding the model to JVM ARGUMENTS correctly and used figura, but idk how to make Template Model.cfg into blockbench model, cause im quite bad at file formats. and I know how to open it but mostly it only shows notebook that is might useful for optifine coding, the model Template Model.cfg with skin is only problem...if you have time, i would apperatiate your help in onl files.

The base model doesn't require Figura. I was suggesting to use a Figura model instead of this one since OptiFine isn't really that good. Especially when Entity Model Features has a proper way to do this via resource packs, I don't exactly know how though

You should be able to just drag the cfg file into blockbench to open it. I could be wrong though. I don't have enough experience with OptiFine player models to know how they work. Maybe someone else would come by and explain it properly

Honestly I find it ironic that the person who created this model said it was easier to setup than a Figura model and then 90% of the comments are people having trouble with setting it up

Ported to Entity Model Features. From my testing it works fine on 1.20.1. Install Fabric or Forge, Install Entity Model Features, then install Thick EMF Playermodel.zip to your resource packs folder and enable it like a normal resource pack.
It will replace the "slim" player model and shouldn't require any extra effort to get your skin to work.

If you need to fix your skin to work with the model, open the bbmodel or JEM burried in the zip on BlockBench, and then edit it there. Note, you'll have to save the edits and then upload them as a normal skin.

I would highly recommend trying CPM or Figura and a model from there over this though since CPM and Figura are more versitile
