sissylover19 Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 So I'm severely over the plugin limit and trying to merge a bunch of files too solve it i done weapons and armor but I'm no way near done so one of the biggest type of mods i have is settlement mods homemaker ssex snapy house kit etc can these be merged?
slight_of_mind Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 (edited) I would not do that. You should look into ESL or ESPFE as many mods as you can. Especially if you use a mod like transfer settlements, workshop framework, or clipboard to import. If they use archives those also have to be combined & split into multiple archives or unpacked (Un-optimizing them). Not sure if merging those mods would break references or any scripts they use. Other than trim the fat. You can run a ton of mods that are ESL or ESPFE and go way over 255. Lots mods don't need to be ESM ESP. And some can't be ESL ESPFE. Varithina Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Maybe, in theory yes you could merge them, in practice no, as they are esm master files any mod that uses those master files would not work with the merge unless you went and edited that mod to use the new master files you just created from the merge. You would have probably been better merging the armor and weapons into combined packs. The general consensus with merging stuff, for skyrim or fallout, is if it is an esm (or master file for other mods) no, if it has scripts included no (unless you know what you are doing and can edit those scripts to take into account the merging). Grab this xedit script and run it on your entire load order, new game pretty much required if you do use it though, https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48460
