Hero357159 Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 From what I can tell, all of the NPC females seem to be using standard CBBE with no physics. Their nude body is significantly smaller than the preset that I've built in Body Studio (Thicker 3BA) so I know it's definitely not the same body being used. The player works fine, body is correct, clothing fits the preset... just the NPCs are all getting the stock CBBE body with no physics. I also just installed OBody Standalone and a few more presets (note - the issue above existed BEFORE this was installed), and it seems to be working for the player (body and clothing), but again NPC clothing matches the preset selected but the body is still stuck on CBBE no physics. What would cause the NPC bodies to get locked onto the wrong body?

Shadowbroker3495 Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 (edited) NPC females share PC female skeleton and skin, unless NPC mod is providing custom skeleton and skin. Edited September 15, 2022 by Shadowbroker3495
Gameplayer Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 All females use the same female skeleton, unless there is a mod that redirects that file path. Body is a set of mesh files normally all vanilla skyrim females share the body including argonians and khajiit. I said normally because there are a number of mods that alter the mesh pathing for the vanilla females. Unique Race mods, almost always 99.9% of the time have a unique file path structure for female meshes, and is often the issue when this sort of topic comes up....The poster will go on about how the Unique Elf race or whatever it is wont change to the body type installed....Sure sign of identifying that as the issue however the poster has not brought up a unique race. OP you may have to provide a mod list because you may not realize that you have one of these vanilla race overhauls that alters the body mesh file path to something else, otherwise if you exported meshes from bodyslide all the vanilla race females should have similar body. DUE NOTE, Its not a good idea to have gone ahead and installed Obody, until after the issue is resolved due to the fact that Obody pulls "ALL" presets from the preset folder including presets meant for other body types. Meaning you could have Obody attempting to apply CBBE to females in your game rather than being selective and only applying CBA. Since these two body types are related to CBBE well, who knows I dont use those but I have seen it apply CBBE morphs on top of TBD. To get Obody so its not throwing you a curve ball you have to get all the preset types you dont want out of your Bodyslide Preset folder, store them somewhere else if you think you need it later like in a folder called Backup.
Hero357159 Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 (edited) No custom races installed, but I did recently install BIJIN npcs and I think it's probably the cause since they seem to install a different body. edit - removed BIJIN, that was definitely it. Can anyone suggest a good NPC overhaul that uses the same body as the player and is compatible with OBody Only problem now is setnpcweight doesn't work, they are all getting the 100 weight settings of each preset. Thought OBody was supposed to be able to use any weight range? Edited September 15, 2022 by Hero357159
traison Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 (edited) I changed the bijin plugins to use the dafault body because I didn't want this feature either. If your versions match these, try the "fix" below. Bijin NPCs SE 1.2.1-11287-1-2-1 Bijin Warmaidens SE v3.1.3-1825-3-1-3 Bijin Wives SE 1.1.2-11247-1-1-2 fix.7z Edit: Oh and apparently I incorporated the USSEP changes as well, so that's an added bonus I guess. Hero357159 Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 (edited) ah cool, that worked thanks! setnpcweight still does nothing, so not sure what's going on there but at least it's selecting the bodies now Edited September 15, 2022 by Hero357159
traison Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 (edited) There seems to be many AIO's of Bijin but I would assume that whatever variant you have, it has all 3 esp's combined into one. I suppose if the version numbers are still the same it would be ok if these 3 were loaded after the aio esp, however that would completely defeat the purpose of the aio. You could however easily move the changes I made, over to the aio esp using xEdit. That, or upload the aio esp here and I'll see about "fixing" it for you. Edited September 15, 2022 by traison
Hero357159 Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 Edited the post above, Yeah, I realized the AIO was overwriting the separate ESPs and just uninstalled it to manually drop in your fixed ones. my versions were the same as yours
