azndragon2222 Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 After the last update for the Steam version, my game crashes once it loads to the main screen. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?
yulifan123 Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 I am also having the same issue, and it seems that verifying integrity of local files can solve this issue. But I am wondering if I have to re-install mods after runing that verfitying integrity. So I haven't tried that yet. But I see some people fixed the issue by doing so.
azndragon2222 Posted September 14, 2022 Author Posted September 14, 2022 (edited) trying to avoid verifying integrity because it will default all the mod settings back. verifying wont remove the mods, it will just set everything back to base default settings, so youd have to go through everything and make the changes and save them again. Sladesamm Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 (edited) Delete your game config file in the DX11_Global_data\savedata folder. The problem is they added a setting but didn't convert the old setting file correctly - or it gets bugged up. You'll have to adjust all your in-game settings back. I want to clarify that integrity check does not reset anything except game settings and tanlines (and some SSR files which are downloaded at first appearance). I did this several times and all mods and their settings remained in place. But if you ever need to save and restore your mod settings just copy "d3dx_user" file. Yorom Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 (edited) Yesterday the game was running normally, and today after "the Maintenance" with was supposed to fix crash at the start, the game does just that for me. Great job KT. Now I'm supposed to do “Verify integrity of game files...” to fix it. It work's now. Edited September 15, 2022 by Yorom
